Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Charles (ranked 1784 p4p, 219 weight class) and Benz Bulver (ranked 3858 p4p, 406 weight class). Charles comes into the arena with Renegades Of Funk - Rage Against The Machine blaring out of the sound system. Bulver has chosen Little Eagle Soars as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Benz Bulver was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benz Bulver! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charles decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bulver is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Charles sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bulver defending well though. Bulver is looking to improve his position.
Charles has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bulver is doing well to control the position and prevent Charles from advancing to side control. Charles is taking a breather. Bulver says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Charles is pressing down on Bulver's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bulver is holding on for now. Halloo catches Hare with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Halloo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Halloo delivers a nice body kick. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hare crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Halloo - the referee stops the clock and Hare gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Halloo. Hare manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Halloo throws a nice inside leg kick. Halloo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Hare misses with a right hand and Halloo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Halloo feints and then cracks Hare's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hare down. Halloo misses with a kick to the body and Hare counters with a lovely straight right hand! Tupa Halloo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Halloo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Tupa Halloo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Halloo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephan Letter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Uzo! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uzo throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Letter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A nice inside leg kick there by Uzo. That's going to slow Letter down. Letter throws out a loose jab but Uzo uses good head movement to avoid it. Letter moves out of range as Uzo strikes. It looked like Letter was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Letter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Uzo sizes up Letter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Uzo throws a hook to the side of Letter's head but Letter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Letter connects with a high kick. Letter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Uzo. Nice cross by Uzo. Letter scores with a spinning back kick! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Letter stalks Uzo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Uzo's face. Uzo staggers backwards, shaken. Uzo throws a low kick, looking for Letter's leg but Letter calmly moves out of range. Letter misses the shot to the body. Letter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Letter counters with a series of strikes. Uzo will be more careful next time no doubt. Uzo throws a jab but it's blocked by Letter. Uzo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Uzo connects with a single shot there. Uzo lands a lovely overhand right. Uzo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Letter. Jay Uzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Letter looks to land a combination but Uzo avoids it well. Letter tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Uzo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nice defenses there by Letter. Letter blocks a jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Letter throws a sloppy head kick and Uzo moves out of range easily. A big left from Uzo misses.

Letter looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. A swing and a miss from Uzo. Letter thows a left - swing and a miss! Letter walks into a jab. Letter throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A punch combination from Letter misses. Letter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Uzo circles away quickly and effectively. A swing and a miss from Uzo. Uzo lands with a hook. Letter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Letter checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Uzo scores with a jab to the body. Uzo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Uzo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Letter is rocked! Uzo throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Oh Letter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uzo cracks Letter on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Letter falls backwards against the cage. Uzo follows up with more strikes that drop Letter to his knees. Uzo keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Letter! This one is all over!
