The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Conner clinches up against the cage. O Conner is pressed up against the cage. Scabies has hold of a leg and is looking to drag O Conner down to the mat. O Conner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. O Conner shoots in and bounces Scabies off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. O Conner wants to pass the guard but Scabies is keeping the position. O Conner tries to stand but Scabies is controlling from the bottom. O Conner throwing strikes from guard but Scabies blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Conner passes Scabies's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Scabies is not content to let O Conner control the position. Scabies is trying to stand.

O Conner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Scabies closes the distance but O Conner moves to the side and O Conner counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. O Conner wants to control but Scabies is keeping him busy. Scabies keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. O Conner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scabies on the ground. O Conner is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. O Conner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. O Conner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Scabies wants to get up but he can't break O Conner's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. O Conner is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Scabies tries to stand but O Conner is controlling from the bottom. O Conner wants to stand and escape but Scabies is having none of it. O Conner lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Scabies! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scabies is breathing heavily. O Conner stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

O Conner circles away from the clinch attempt and O Conner holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Scabies is trying to break the clinch but O Conner has him pressed against the cage. O Conner lands with a left to the head. O Conner has Scabies pushed against the cage. Scabies tries to break the clinch but O Conner is controlling the position. O Conner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
O Conner clinches up against the cage. O Conner lands with a short head shot on the inside. Scabies is trying to break the clinch but O Conner is controlling him. O Conner lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. O Conner is trying to drag Scabies to the mat but Scabies just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Scabies wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Scabies takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. O Conner pushes Scabies back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. O Conner breaks the clinch.

O Conner tries to advance to mount but can't. O Conner lands a few punches from side control. O Conner tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. David O Conner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. O Conner wants to control but Scabies is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Conner stands up. O Conner scores with a takedown into Scabies's guard. Scabies is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. O Conner wants to pass the guard but Scabies is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Conner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Scabies wants to get back to his feet but O Conner is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

O Conner trying to control but Scabies is working from the bottom. O Conner is looking to work some ground and pound but Scabies has wrist control. Rat Scabies has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! O Conner trying to control the position from guard on top but Scabies is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor scores with a spinning back kick! Taylor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fotoberg. A decent looking cross lands there for Fotoberg. Nice takedown defense from Fotoberg. No joy for Taylor on that attempt. Taylor uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fotoberg. Fotoberg sends Taylor crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Fotoberg is motioning to the referee to let Taylor up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Corey Taylor has been cut. Fotoberg throws a right hand that Taylor ducks under and follows up with a left that Taylor also avoids with ease. Taylor is still on wobbly legs! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ostatni walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Salazar connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ostatni's hands.
It looks like Pierwszy Ostatni has been cut. Salazar lands the left hand. Decent striking displayed by Salazar there. Salazar scores with a jab. Ostatni will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Salazar connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Salazar throws a quick inside leg kick. A jab lands there for Salazar. Salazar dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Salazar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Armando Salazar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ostatni shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Salazar sprawls well. Salazar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ostatni gets slowly back to his feet. Ostatni wants to clinch. Ostatni tries to clinch there but Salazar circles away.
Salazar is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Salazar thuds his right hand into Ostatni's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Ostatni is still in real trouble! Can Salazar finish him? We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ostatni looks gassed! Ostatni utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Salazar works over Ostatni with some ground and pound from guard. Salazar with a flurry of punches that miss. Ostatni seems to have recovered his senses. Salazar wants to control from the top but Ostatni keeps moving. Ostatni will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Salazar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Salazar drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ostatni dives on top into guard. Ostatni stopping the sweep attempt from Salazar.

Ostatni bounces back off the cage towards Salazar, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Salazar lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Salazar celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Manhoef throws a series of punches but Raspru avoids them all with ease. Grigoro Raspru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Manhoef looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Raspru shoots in but Manhoef avoids the takedown attempt easily. Manhoef displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Raspru throws out the jab. Raspru looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Manhoef flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Raspru anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Manhoef and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Raspru slips an arm under Manhoef chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Raspru has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Raspru is squeezing on Manhoef like an anaconda would it's prey. Manhoef fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

and Marques makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Bob stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The crowd cheers as Bob lands an impressive looking overhand right. Marques doesn't seem phased though. Bob scores with a nice strike. Bob drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marques keeps working.

Marques lands with a kick to the temple. Bob shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Marques takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Bob takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The fighters circling - Bob throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Marques swings and misses with a shot to the body and Bob counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bob is figuring out what he wants to do next. Marques slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Bob controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Marques being controlled here, momentarily. Marques is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bob's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Marques was covering up waiting for the punch and Bob finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bob is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Marques wants to sweep here but Bob controlling him for the moment. Bob seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
