The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flash avoids the head kick by Beatdown.

Beatdown darts in and clinches Flash up against the cage.
Flash trying to control the position but instead, Beatdown has worked for underhooks and has pushed Flash into the cage.

Flash tightens his grip and picks Beatdown up, before dumping him to the ground. Beatdown manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flash controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Flash won't allow Beatdown to get back to his feet.

Beatdown is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flash seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beatdown does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Billy Beatdown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Flash drops back looking for a leg! Beatdown is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beatdown manages to kick Flash off! Flash jumps back into Beatdown's guard.

Beatdown wants to pass the guard but Flash is keeping the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Flash looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Flash has his foot on Beatdown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beatdown works his way back into a safe position though.
Beatdown controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Beatdown wants to control from the top but Flash keeps moving.
Flash is trying to control the position but Beatdown postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Flash.

Bishop swats away the attempt to clinch by Hinges.
Bishop lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hinges takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Webster wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Xavier's closed guard. He's half up but Xavier has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Xavier pivots and extends the arm, Webster falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Xavier! Well done that man!

Bare jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bare throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bare tries a low kick but Kesler avoids it.
Bare jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kesler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bare ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kesler moves away.
Bare looks to score with a jab to the body but Kesler is just out of range.
Bare misses with a hook.
Kesler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bare throws an overhand right that lands on Kesler's shoulder, as Kesler tries to avoid the shot.

Kesler throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bare was covering up waiting for the punch and Kesler finishes the takedown easily into guard.
