The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Vargas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Xe shoots in looking for a takedown but Savage manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Xe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Camara throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on OMalley's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Camara dives in looking to finish as OMalley flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Camara's strikes! Camara is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! OMalley's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but OMalley was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cruzeiro, as that shot connected.

Cruzeiro feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Olsen sprawling to the canvas! Olsen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cruzeiro finish him?!

The cut above Robin Olsen's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Cruzeiro throws a body shot but no joy.
Olsen is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
