And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Smith!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunc takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Smith gets a clinch.
Dunc tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Dunc goes for a takedown in the clinch but Smith prevents it.
Dunc is trying to drag Smith to the mat but Smith just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Dunc. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith scores with a knee to the head.

It looks like Kyle Dunc has been cut.
Dunc goes for a takedown in the clinch but Smith prevents it.
A left hand lands to the body for Smith.

Smith gets control of Dunc's arms and successfully pulls guard. Smith will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dunc drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Dunc off! Dunc jumps back into Smith's guard.

Dunc drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smith dives on top into guard.


Dunc had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smith defends it easily.
Smith postures up in Dunc's guard and throws a big left but Dunc blocks it.
Smith wanted to stand there but Dunc had control of the position.
Dunc tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Dunc has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Dunc escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dunc is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.

Dunc has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pearsons is trying to drag Cooper to the mat but Cooper just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Cooper lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pearsons backwards.
Cooper creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Pearsons's defenses.

It looks like Paul Pearsons has been cut.

Cooper lands an elbow inside that Pearsons shrugs off.

Oooooh!!! Kluba has knocked Dikoume down with a huge combo! Kluba steps away and waves a wobbly Dikoume back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kluba throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dikoume appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Dikoume tries to move into range but Kluba moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kluba closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Dikoume! Kluba dives in looking to finish! Dikoume is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
