Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Allister Payne!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nature Boy is defended easily by Payne.
Despite the aggression on Payne's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nature Boy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Payne as he avoids it easily.
Nature Boy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lil Nature Boy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nature Boy wants to clinch up but Payne keeps it at a distance.
As Nature Boy backs off Payne throws a huge counter combo but Nature Boy manages to avoid it all.

Nature Boy really is a fat lump.
Nature Boy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Payne's waist but Payne gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nature Boy off to one side.
Payne changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Payne displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nature Boy.
Payne is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Payne enables Nature Boy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Payne manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Nature Boy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Payne dives on top into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Payne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nature Boy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Payne postures up.

Nature Boy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Payne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nature Boy is breathing heavily.

Payne avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Payne has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Nature Boy to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Payne is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Nature Boy pulls down on the head and he's put Payne to sleep! This one is all over!

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Monelo Banks (ranked 4826 p4p, 198 weight class) and Chance Chase (ranked 4918 p4p, 199 weight class). Chance Chase struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Monelo Banks has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

and Chase holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
