10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kai Perkins ! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Nazarethyan does no damage. Perkins scores with a hook to the body. Nazarethyan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Perkins digs a good hook to Nazarethyan's body.
Nazarethyan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Perkins . Perkins swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Perkins throws the left hand but Nazarethyan avoids the punch easily. Perkins lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Perkins on the wrong end of a nice jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nazarethyan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Perkins as he avoids it easily. Nazarethyan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perkins bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nazarethyan's head backwards. We've been informed that Perkins has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Perkins ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Nazarethyan misses with a takedown and Perkins counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Suren Nazarethyan has been cut. Nazarethyan swings widly with a right hand
enabling Perkins to counter with a crisp jab. Nazarethyan ducks under a wild hook from Perkins . A bone on bone clash there as Nazarethyan blocks the leg kick.

Perkins misses with a hook. Nazarethyan ducked under it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Perkins - just one landing. Perkins throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Perkins blocks a head kick by Nazarethyan.
Kai Perkins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nazarethyan motions for Perkins to come forward. Nazarethyan throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A little jabbing left from Perkins on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Nazarethyan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Perkins counters with a good low kick that Nazarethyan was not able to check. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Suren Nazarethyan. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nazarethyan ducks under a wild hook from Perkins . Perkins is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Perkins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Nazarethyan swings away with a body shot that misses
and Perkins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perkins cracks Nazarethyan on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Nazarethyan falls backwards against the cage. Perkins follows up with more strikes that drop Nazarethyan to his knees. Perkins keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Nazarethyan! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kai Perkins ! A determined Kai Perkins didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it! The defeated Suren Nazarethyan had this to say: 'I Will Come Back Stronger Than Before'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Penn avoids the body shot from Hardy.
Hardy throws a wild body kick that Penn sees coming a mile off. Hardy moves out of range as Penn strikes. Penn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hardy. A chopping leg kick lands by Hardy. Hardy tries to move into range but Penn moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Hardy throws a sloppy head kick and Penn moves out of range easily. Hardy connects with a solid leg kick. Penn takes a shot to the body in his stride.
An inside leg kick from Hardy misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Hardy. Penn does a little dance to reset his feet. Hardy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Penn finds it's way round the side to connect with Hardy's head. Hardy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hardy misses the jab. Penn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy lands a nice hook to Penn's body. Penn takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Penn takes a shot right to the bread basket. Penn slips under a jab from Hardy. Penn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hardy.
Penn misses the shot to the body. A solid leg kick lands there for Hardy.
Penn on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hardy. Hardy obviously looking to wear him down.

Hardy throws a low kick but Penn avoids it. Hardy is looking to wear down Penn with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Nice shot by Hardy. Hardy slips a straight right by Penn. Nice body punch from Hardy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hardy connects with a high kick. Hardy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Penn has time to react. Hardy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Penn on the side of the head. A good leg kick by Hardy. Penn misses with a body kick. Penn changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Penn checks a low kick from Hardy. It seemed like Penn was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hardy missing with a left hand there. Penn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hardy avoids the body shot from Penn.
Hardy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Hardy darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Penn is rocked! Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hardy. Penn shrugs it off though. Penn is still on wobbly legs! Can Hardy finish him? Penn looks winded! Hardy circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Penn to the canvas! Penn doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hardy keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Outlaw Hardy! Outlaw Hardy tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

and Rider takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Midnight Rider has been cut. Mutou instigates a clinch. Rider working aggressively here.
Mutou misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short right from Mutou. Rider throws a punch but it's blocked by Mutou. Rider throws a head punch that misses. Mutou tries a body shot but Rider blocks it.
Mutou tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A right hook to the body lands for Rider.

Mutou blocks an uppercut.
Mutou throws a punch but it's blocked by Rider. Rider misses with a hook from the clinch. Rider's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Wooooo! Mutou swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Mutou misses with an uppercut. Mutou takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Mutou throws an overhand right that lands on Rider's shoulder, as Rider tries to avoid the shot. Mutou scores with a punch to the head. Rider moves out of range as Mutou strikes. Mutou scores with a nice right hand.
Mutou swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rider's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mutou connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rider scrambles back to his feet. The fighters circling - Mutou throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! A jab lands there for Rider. Rider connects with the punch. Rider throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Rider loads up on a big right hand but Mutou slips the punch. Mutou swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Mutou is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Mutou lands with a good body shot. Mutou moves in looking to clinch but Rider pushes him off. Mutou scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Rider misses with an uppercut. Mutou saw that one coming. Mutou moves into range and clinches up with Rider. Rider lands on the inside with an uppercut. Rider throws a punch but it's blocked by Mutou. Rider lands with a light punch inside. A hook to the body from Rider.

and Mann counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Baramari looks winded! Baramari is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Mann Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Baramari is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Buse Mann! In his post fight interview, Buse Mann started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

The Zealot is trying to keep his angry face on. Dall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The Zealot throws a series of punches but Dall avoids them all with ease. The Zealot with a hook. The Zealot stuffs the takedown attempt from Dall. Dall gets slowly back to his feet. Dall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from The Zealot. Dall went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. The Zealot misses with a hook. Dall ducked under it nicely. The Zealot sizes up Dall with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. A left lands for Dall. Dall throws a leg kick but The Zealot sees it coming and moves out of range. Despite the aggression on The Zealot's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. A lazy body kick from Dall letting The Zealot counter with a right hand. The Zealot scores with a nice strike.

Dall walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. The Zealot checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Dall connects with a solid leg kick. The Zealot takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Dall moves forwards but The Zealot connects with a nice, crisp jab. Dall with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The Zealot connects with a right hand. Dall shakes it off. The Zealot misses with an uppercut. Dall lands a nice leg kick that just misses The Zealot's sensitive parts. The Zealot misses with a hook. Dall ducked under it nicely.

The Zealot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dall scores with a sloppy right hand. The Zealot should have avoided that one. Dall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The Zealot lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. The Zealot might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. The Zealot blocks a leg kick. The Zealot connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dall. Dall circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Masada The Zealot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Zealot looks to throw the jab but Dall is out of range. The Zealot looks to land a right hand but Dall moved out of range. Nice defenses there by The Zealot. Dall uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by The Zealot.

He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Black and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Black tries to counter with a takedown but Gelfen is quick to defend against it. Black is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Gelfen scoring well with a low kick there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fairbanks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Walcott throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Fairbanks has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
