Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luiz Escobar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hurjempi Salli! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Salli wants to control but Escobar is keeping busy and won't allow it. Salli wants to improve his position but Escobar is controlling well.
Salli looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Salli throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Salli is pulling down on Escobar's head to control his posture.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Escobar throws a lazy right hand but Salli sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Escobar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salli as he jumps to the side. Salli fails with an attempt to clinch.

Salli misses with an uppercut. Escobar saw that one coming. A combination from Salli does no damage. Salli fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Escobar changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Escobar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Salli tries to counter with a clinch but Escobar shakes him off and moves away. Luiz Escobar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Escobar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Escobar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salli to the mat! Salli manages to get full guard. Escobar wants to control from the top but Salli keeps moving. Salli trying to keep a closed guard but Escobar is proving a slippery customer.
Salli is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Escobar is controlling him. Escobar trying to control the position from guard on top but Salli is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Escobar stopping the sweep attempt from Salli.

Salli wants to sweep here but Escobar controlling him for the moment. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Salli is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Escobar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Escobar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Escobar is breathing heavily. Salli stalling away here and it's allowed Escobar to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Luiz Escobar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Salli uses his free foot to push down on Escobar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Escobar. Escobar avoids a series of strikes thrown by Salli.
Salli trying to control but he's not successful this time. Escobar tries to improve his position but Salli has taken his back! Salli has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Escobar tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Salli pushes Escobar away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Romanus shoots in for a takedown but Peres shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
