The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scars connects with a leg kick. White looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

White closes the distance and clinches.

White gets control of Scars's arms and successfully pulls guard. White will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Scars thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

White is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Scars defends well.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now White is on top in guard.

White drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Scars manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now White has Scars in his guard.

Scars is sitting in close to White's body. White has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Scars is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Scars is tapping! That was a very nice submission by White.

Bullock shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed Bullock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Bell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bullock is looking to clinch but Bell is avoiding it.

That was a close round but I would say that Lars Bullock will probably get the nod.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Contreras connects with a nice short shot to Reed's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed is pressing down on Contreras's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Contreras wants to pass the guard but Reed is keeping the position.
