The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Dzikowski has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Russian Bears Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Vargas jabs Dzikowski to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Dzikowski tries to clinch but Vargas moves away
and Vargas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Vargas connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Dzikowski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vargas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Vargas is not content to let Dzikowski control the position.
Dzikowski is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McTavern can't hide his disappointment, as Sobieski celebrates the victory.
