Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Justus Brevis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lynch Boshank! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boshank fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Brevis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Brevis tries to clinch up but Boshank circles away and keeps his distance. Boshank looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Brevis dodges the punch combination from Boshank.
Brevis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boshank but Boshank pushes him off and we're back to square one. Justus Brevis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brevis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boshank but Boshank pushes him off and we're back to square one. Boshank looks like he wants to counter punch here. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justus Brevis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brevis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boshank looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brevis moves in looking to clinch but Boshank pushes him off. Boshank appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Boshank does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Brevis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boshank manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Boshank only half commits to the counter leg kick. Boshank shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brevis defends it nicely. Brevis shoots in for a double leg but Boshank sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Boshank is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Boshank throws the left hand but Brevis avoids the punch easily. Brevis was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Brevis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boshank circles away. Boshank looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Brevis went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boshank fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Boshank jabbing away but nothing is landing. Brevis stalks Boshank and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Boshank's face. Boshank staggers backwards, shaken. Boshank throws the left hand but Brevis avoids the punch easily. Brevis shoots for a takedown but Boshank saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brevis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boshank sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Boshank looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Brevis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brevis tries to clinch but Boshank is having none of it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Boshank! But no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Boshank. No joy for Brevis on that attempt. Boshank misses with a wild body shot. Brevis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boshank is fending him off so far but Brevis persists. Nope, Boshank circles away and we're back to standing. Boshank throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Boshank showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brevis.
Brevis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boshank as he jumps to the side. A looping hook to the body misses from Boshank. Brevis does a little dance to reset his feet. A counter left hand to the body from Brevis misses its target. Boshank misses with a right hand and Brevis counters with a stiff right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brevis tries to clinch there but Boshank circles away.
Boshank takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Boshank closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brevis quickly recovers to half guard. Boshank takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. It looks like Boshank might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Boshank is continuing to stall. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brevis won't allow Boshank to pass to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Lynch Boshank comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Boshank has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Silo Zama! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King punishes Zama's body with a nice straight punch. A momentary lapse in concentration from Zama enables King to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zama manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. King passes Zama's right leg, so he's now in half guard. We've been hearing that King has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. King is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! King with a couple of short strikes. King is standing up, even though he is in mount. King scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Sammy King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. King cracks Zama with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. King has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Zama to stand back up! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. King blocks a leg kick. King misses with a takedown and Zama counters with a straight right hand. King swinging wildly here.

and Zama counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Zama is leaning against King and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Zama scores with a nice hook to the head. King jumps guard but Zama turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. King tries to throw a body punch but Zama avoids it by throwing King back against the cage. Zama works on King's body with a couple of short punches. King is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zama pushes King back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Zama lands a nice shot to the body. King is looking to control Zama's arms but Zama gets an underhook and turns him. Now King has his back to the cage. Zama scores with a nice hook to the head. Zama lands a hook that snaps the head of King backwards. King's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! The referee is keeping an eye on Zama - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Zama lands a nice knee to the body. Zama lands a damaging elbow. King takes a knee right on the jaw!
Zama throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but King blocks it with crossed arms. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zama works on King's body with a couple of short punches. Zama stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Zama lands a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zama's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Zama lands a good knee to the midsection. King won't want to take too many of those. Zama creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through King's defenses.
It looks like Sammy King has been cut. King throws a head punch that misses. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zama takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. King is trying to pull guard but Zama turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. King misses with some punches.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nice elbow from Zama. King tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Zama smiles and moves away.
Silo Zama is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zama ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Silo Zama will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Sammy King's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Zama connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt King covering up! Zama comes in with a big uppercut and King goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Silo Zama! An out of breath Silo Zama thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fortuin gets a clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Fortuin. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Fortuin tries to stall but Paperstacks uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Paperstacks is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fortuin can't fight it off and eventually Paperstacks manages to take the fight to the floor. Fortuin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Paperstacks engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Fortuin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Paperstacks puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in half guard, Paperstacks seems content to control. Paperstacks is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Paperstacks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Paperstacks has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Fortuin tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Paperstacks pushes Fortuin away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boban dives in for a single leg takedown but Pulkkinen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Boban dives in and grabs Pulkkinen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pulkkinen pushes down on Boban's head and hops out. Pulkkinen throws a solid leg kick but Boban takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pulkkinen. We've been told by Pulkkinen's head coaches at Jorzi GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Boban misses with a jab, cross combination.

Spude Pulkkinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jure Boban. Pulkkinen misses with a wild body shot. And Boban tries to counter it with a takedown but Pulkkinen pushes his down on his head and steps out. Boban throws a looping overhand right but Pulkkinen ducks down to avoid it. Boban moves forwards but Pulkkinen connects with a nice, crisp jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Boban fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pulkkinen thinks about countering with a body kick. Pulkkinen staying out of range there. Boban's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pulkkinen under the eye. Boban throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fighters circling - Boban throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pulkkinen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Pulkkinen scores with a hook to the body. Boban takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Pulkkinen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boban dives in and grabs Pulkkinen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pulkkinen pushes down on Boban's head and hops out. Boban lands the left hand. Boban misses with a lunging right hand
and Pulkkinen counters with an outside leg kick.

Pulkkinen is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Boban throws a poor cross that misses
and Pulkkinen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boban misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pulkkinen.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pulkkinen drops Boban with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Boban looks back up at him and smiles so Pulkkinen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

and Pulkkinen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Pulkkinen lands a jab to the nose. Pulkkinen closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Boban! Pulkkinen dives in looking to finish! Boban is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Bagueirau has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barbosa finds it's way round the side to connect with Bagueirau's head. Barbosa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bagueirau but Bagueirau pushes him off and we're back to square one. Barbosa looking to score a takedown here.
