Silva Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Sleeping Giant. Pulu has chosen Alive as his entrance music. Rich Silva Jr is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Pulu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva Jr sprawls well initially but Pulu persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Svensson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hells Bells - ACDC. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sven Svensson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Svensson stuffs the takedown. Svensson tries to counter with a clinch but Halo shakes him off and moves away. Svensson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Svensson instigates a clinch. Svensson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Halo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Svensson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Halo is looking for a triangle here but Svensson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Halo trying to control the action but Svensson is working from the bottom. Halo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Svensson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Halo but great work by Svensson. He's left an arm up in the air though and Svensson has latched onto it... Big trouble! Svensson pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Halo is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Svensson!
