These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kay Bone!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kemp cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kemp closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Kemp bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bone misses with a right hand
and Kemp counters with a nice kick to the body.
Bone fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kemp swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kemp keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
It looked like Kemp was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Bone.
Bone scores with a jab. Kemp acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Bone misses with an uppercut
and Kemp counters with a good low kick that Bone was not able to check.
Some bone on bone action there as Bone checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kemp throws out the jab.
A little jabbing left from Bone on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Bone works Kemp's body with a nice hook.
Nice body punch from Kemp.
Kemp thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bone now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Bone scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A telegraphed right hand from Kemp misses the target.
Kemp looks to score with a jab to the body but Bone is just out of range.
Bone ducks under a wild hook from Kemp.
Ross Kemp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bone cracks Kemp with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Bone keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A little jabbing left from Bone on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Bone misses with a lunging right hand
and Kemp makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Kemp throws a lazy head kick
and Bone counters with a right hand to the body.
Kemp on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bone. Bone obviously looking to wear him down.
Kemp attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bone! But no joy.
Kemp throws a sloppy head kick
and Bone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bone slips under a jab from Kemp.
Good leg kick by Kemp there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kemp fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bone on the side of the head.
Kemp throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bone counters with a nice body shot.
Kemp misses with a lunging right hand
and Bone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kemp on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kemp scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kemp misses with a hook to the body
letting Bone counter with a right hand.
Bone swings widly with a right hand
and Bone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bone throws a jab when Kemp was well out of range.
Kemp is looking to counter punch.
A swing and a miss from Bone.
Kemp throws a big counter combination but Bone scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Kemp misses with a body shot.
Kemp misses with a body punch
and Bone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bone is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Bone throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kemp stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bone throws a big shot that misses.
Kemp tries to work over Bone's front leg with a kick but Bone checks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Kemp misses the target.
Kemp misses with a left hand
and Bone counters with a straight right hand.
Kemp steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bone.
Bone moves away from the strike by Kemp.
Bone is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kemp with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kemp ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bone scores with a nice strike.
Bone stuns Kemp with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kemp tries to land a front kick but Bone steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kemp blocks a jab.
Kemp misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Bone connects with a nice looking jab.
Kemp throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bone cracks Kemp with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kemp tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Bone pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kemp is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kay Bone!
Kay Bone is the new heavyweight champion!
