The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Rourke goes for a double leg but Cannon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cannon continues to drive forward.
Walter Cannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from O Rourke. No joy for Cannon on that attempt.
O Rourke clobbers Cannon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
O Rourke throws a series of strikes that have Cannon backpedaling.
O Rourke wants to clinch up but Cannon keeps it at a distance.

Cannon shoots in and gets a takedown into O Rourke's guard.

Cannon is sitting in close to O Rourke's body. O Rourke has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cannon is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cannon is tapping! That was a very nice submission by O Rourke.
