The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keenan with a body punch. A glancing blow. Trecozze dives in and grabs Keenan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Keenan pushes down on Trecozze's head and hops out. Trecozze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Keenan is fending him off so far but Trecozze persists. Nope, Keenan circles away and we're back to standing. Keenan leaves Trecozze with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Keenan! But no joy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gino Trecozze. That's going to take a lot out of him. Keenan punishes Trecozze's body with a nice straight punch. Keenan throws a looping overhand right but Trecozze ducks down to avoid it. Trecozze seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trecozze steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Keenan. Trecozze looks to land a strike but Keenan avoids it nicely and regains full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trecozze postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Keenan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Trecozze, into his guard.

Trecozze is working away from the top position though. Trecozze is just content to waste time from the top position. Keenan takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. We've been hearing that Trecozze has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Trecozze drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Keenan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Trecozze has Keenan in his guard. Keenan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Keenan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Trecozze has his foot on Keenan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Keenan works his way back into a safe position though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trecozze accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Trecozze's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Keenan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Trecozze in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sin darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jab by Sin. We've been told by Vazzappo's head coaches at The Forge that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Vazzappo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. No joy there for Vazzappo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sin drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vazzappo defends it well. Vazzappo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sin eats them both and turns towards Vazzappo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Vazzappo misses with a combination
and Sin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sin throwing shots but Vazzappo is blocking nicely. Biff Raper dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Umberto Turturro's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A combination from Raper does no damage. Turturro wants to counter the offense by Raper and move into the clinch position. A head kick misses from Raper. Raper connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Turturro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Raper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Turturro somewhat. Raper darts in and clinches Turturro up against the ropes. Turturro's coach down at The Philippines Finest was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turturro's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Raper lands with a short punch from the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Raper. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Raper scores with a nice hook to the head. Raper tries a body shot but Turturro blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Turturro is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Raper to keep the fight standing. Raper lands on the inside with an uppercut. Turturro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Raper throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Turturro has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Raper avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Biff Raper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Umberto Turturro. Raper lands a nice uppercut. Turturro tries to pull guard but Raper won't allow it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Raper working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Raper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Turturro can do to turn this around? Raper lands a hook that snaps the head of Turturro backwards.
That has opened up Umberto Turturro's cut even more. Turturro tries to pull guard but Raper holds him up against the ropes and eventually Turturro drops back down to his feet.

Turturro seems to have recovered his senses. Raper creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Turturro's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Turturro drops to his knees and Raper pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
