Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Reckless (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes into the arena with Its not my time blaring out of the sound system. Reckless has chosen No Heroes by Converge as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz misses with a few strikes there.
Reckless shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diaz as he jumps to the side. Reckless throws a combination that misses and Diaz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Reckless uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Diaz. Diaz lands with a shot to the body. Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reckless counters with a nice body shot. Reckless swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reckless keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Chris Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reckless feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Diaz's calf. Diaz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Nice sprawl there from Diaz as Reckless shoots in. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diaz connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Reckless to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Diaz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones rushes Diamond and presses him up against the cage. Jones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Diamond walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Diamond connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Jones throws a body punch but Diamond moves out of range. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jones. Diamond lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Diamond swinging wildly here.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Diamond swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diamond connects with the punch. Diamond scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Some bone on bone action there as Castellaneta checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Kannon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. That's one minute gone in the round. Castellaneta lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Castellaneta catches Kannon with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Castellaneta checks a low kick from Kannon. Kannon scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Kannon scores with a kick to the midsection. Kannon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kolt Kannon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kannon misses with a low kick.
Kannon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kannon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Castellaneta defends it easily. Castellaneta wants to control from the top but Kannon keeps moving. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kannon working for a triangle but Castellaneta defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kannon looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castellaneta passes easily into side control. Nice work. Castellaneta has hold of Kannon's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kannon tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Castellaneta cranks the arm and Kannon screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kannon, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Demoss is desperately trying to improve his position but Ang has a good base and remains in mount. Ang unloading with bombs! Demoss wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ang.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hurskainen pinned against the cage. Hurskainen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Harris walks into a jab.
It looks like Brendan Harris has been cut. Hurskainen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hurskainen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hurskainen throws a chopping leg kick but Harris manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Hurskainen misses with a two punch combination.

and Harris counters with a two punch combo. Hurskainen is breathing heavily. Harris lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

and Harris cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hurskainen is rocked! Harris feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Hurskainen crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Wolfe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Diaz. Wolfe thows a body shot but no joy. Wolfe scores with a punch to the head. Diaz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Eloy Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wolfe dodges the punch combination from Diaz.
Wolfe scores with a hook. Wolfe lunges at Diaz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Diaz's hand. Diaz slips a jab from Wolfe. The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A head kick misses from Diaz. Wolfe throws a leg kick but Diaz checks it. Wolfe throws a front kick aimed at Diaz's knee but Diaz avoids it well. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Diaz checks a leg kick. Wolfe stuns Diaz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Wolfe to counter with a crisp jab. Diaz throws a series of punches but Wolfe avoids them all with ease. Diaz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Wolfe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Diaz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Diaz misses with a body punch

Wolfe circles away from the clinch attempt and Wolfe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Diaz walks straight into a right hand from Wolfe - that's dropped him! Wolfe jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Diaz from any more punishment! Diaz complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

We're now in half guard. McGrady throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mitsuharu looking for submissions from an awkward position here. McGrady trying to pass the guard but Mitsuharu defending well. McGrady winds up and cracks Mitsuharu with a swinging punch to the side of the head. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. McGrady has his hands on Mitsuharu's head, controlling the position. Mitsuharu wants to control from the top but McGrady keeps moving. McGrady manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Horrible takedown by Hernandez or perhaps it was just good defense by Welch which made him look bad. Welch scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Hernandez needs to keep his hands up - Welch had a free shot at his head there. Hyneman lands with a straight right. Hughes didn't see that one coming. Hughes takes one on the button. Hughes lands a head kick. Hyneman smiles back at him and beckons him forward. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab lands there for Hyneman. A clash of legs there as Hyneman blocks the low kick. Hughes throws out a leg kick but Hyneman moves out of range and Hughes only half commits. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hyneman looks to score with a jab to the body but Hughes is just out of range. That's two minutes gone in the round. Hughes does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Hyneman throws a right and a left that Hughes avoids nicely. Hughes fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hyneman is out of range. Hyneman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hughes can pounce on him.
Hyneman avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Hughes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hyneman. That did some damage! Hughes throws a leg kick but Hyneman checks it. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hyneman crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hughes - the referee stops the clock and Hyneman gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hughes. Hyneman manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Hughes lands with a thumping leg kick.
