The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruffy scores with a leg kick.

Ruffy closes the distance and pushes Delgado back into the cage. Ruffy misses with a hook from the clinch. Ruffy unloads a knee to the mid-section. Delgado looking for a takedown. That was a close round but I would say that Vincente Delgado will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Ruffy counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Ruffy tries to clinch up but Delgado circles away and keeps his distance. Delgado throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ruffy counters with a head kick. Delgado rushes Ruffy and presses him up against the cage. Delgado tries to pull guard but Ruffy won't allow it.

Kovacs is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by All Along the watchtower - Jimmy Hendrix. Rimmer Couture had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Pattison looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Belfort, as that shot connected.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Belvedere as Ellsworth Jr shoots in. Ellsworth Jr shoots in for a takedown but Belvedere shows good takedown defense. Ellsworth Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Belvedere paws at him with a jab and circles away. Belvedere slaps away a takedown attempt from Ellsworth Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hercules Belvedere has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Ellsworth Jr. Belvedere drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Belvedere slows the pace down. Ellsworth Jr tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Belvedere easily slips into full mount! Ellsworth Jr is working to get back to half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammersmith shoots for a double leg takedown but Evens sprawls well. He's pushed Hammersmith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Evens defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hammersmith. Hammersmith blocks a head kick by Evens.
Hammersmith moves away from the strike by Evens. Evens tries to bum rush Hammersmith with a series of wild strikes but Hammersmith uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Evens stuns Hammersmith with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Hammersmith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Evens. Hammersmith dodges the punch combination from Evens.
Evens keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vaughn Hammersmith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hammersmith gets the takedown into side control. Hammersmith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evens keeps working. Hammersmith working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Evens for as long as he can get away with. Evens is trying to buck Hammersmith off. Evens can't do much from the bottom here. Evens is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hammersmith is controlling him well. Hammersmith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evens keeps working.

Evens is not content to let Hammersmith control the position. Evens is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hammersmith has just dragged him back down to the mat. Evens throws a punch from the bottom, which has left him a bit exposed here… Hammersmith has an arm triangle now. This could be big trouble for Evens. He's out! He's out cold! The ref pulls Hammersmith off and Hammersmith celebrates with his corner.
