The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tamura tries to clinch up. Borcuha shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tamura as he jumps to the side. Borcuha moves out of range of the body kick from Tamura.
Borcuha shoots in and drives through. Tamura sprawls well. Tamura tries to close the distance and clinch up but Borcuha swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tamura is looking to clinch. Tamura fails in his attempt to clinch. Tamura fails in his attempt to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Tamura looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tamura fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Borcuha shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tamura pinned against the cage. Tamura gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zver Borcuha. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tamura moves in looking to clinch but Borcuha pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tamura will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A head kick misses from Tamura. Tamura tries to clinch but Borcuha is having none of it. A combination from Tamura does no damage. Tamura stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tamura wants it to stay on the feet. Borcuha avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tamura takes a swing at Borcuha's ribcage but misses. Borcuha fails with the takedown. Tamura tries to close the distance and clinch up but Borcuha swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tamura fails in his attempt to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Borcuha is defended easily by Tamura. Tamura gets caught flat footed, as Borcuha shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamura looking for a triangle here. Borcuha is fighting it but it looks tight! Tamura pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Borcuha is tapping out - this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeMaio shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dobbler napping and manages to drive through into side control! DeMaio is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dobbler has escaped the position, nice work there. DeMaio tries for a kimura but Dobbler is defending well. DeMaio goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dobbler rolls with the submission and now he's on top in DeMaio's guard! Nice work there by Dobbler! Dobbler showing good wrestling skills to control the position. DeMaio pulls Dobbler in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobbler controls from within his opponent's guard. DeMaio keeping full guard, as Dobbler tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dobbler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. DeMaio managing to control the position. Dobbler showing good wrestling skills to control the position. DeMaio is controlling Dobbler's posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joey DeMaio. DeMaio takes a jab right on the kisser.
Lloyd Dobbler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dobbler throws a sloppy head kick and DeMaio moves out of range easily. Dobbler closes the distance and clinches. DeMaio wants a takedown.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dobbler wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey DeMaio. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dobbler moves into range and clinches up with DeMaio. DeMaio tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dobbler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dobbler bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Dobbler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck DeMaio on the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dobbler changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Dobbler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dobbler gets through DeMaio's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Dobbler lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of DeMaio backwards. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dobbler creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dobbler lands a hook to the side of the head. Dobbler scores with a shoulder strike. DeMaio drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dobbler gets the underhooks and prevents it.

DeMaio on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Dobbler drops DeMaio with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but DeMaio looks back up at him and smiles so Dobbler waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
DeMaio is rocked! Dobbler dances in with a quick combination. DeMaio is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Dobbler snaps DeMaio's head back. DeMaio stumbles backwards against the cage. Dobbler steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with DeMaio's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. DeMaio just didn't come prepared.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Power or perhaps it was just good defense by White which made him look bad. White shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Power is trying to defend but White finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Power looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Power could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Power looking for submissions off his back. White takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Power taking some punishment here, with White in his half guard. Power is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but White pulls his head out easily. White takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Power looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Power. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. White controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. White scores with a couple of good hammerfists. White is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Still in half guard, White seems content to control. Power might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Power looking for submissions off his back. Power is breathing heavily. Well, if White is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
White is looking to advance position but Power won't allow it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. White connects with a nice short shot to Power's temple. White lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Power! More strikes land and this one is all over! White jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ohe throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Left hook, right uppercut from Ohe. Ohe lands with a nice combination. Gerbolaev backs away looking to recover. Ohe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ohe throws a body kick that misses. Gerbolaev fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Makoto Ohe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ohe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ohe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ohe lands with a shot to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gerbolaev doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gerbolaev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Ohe cracks Gerbolaev with an open hand slap. Gerbolaev takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ohe feints and then cracks Gerbolaev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gerbolaev down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ohe sizes up Gerbolaev with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Crunch! Ohe slams his shin into Gerbolaev's torso. Gerbolaev takes a kick to the side of the head. Ohe scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Ohe scores with a push kick. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ohe - that will leave a mark!

He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ohe - that will leave a mark!

Gerbolaev takes a kick to the side of the head. Nice uppercut there from Ohe. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ohe misses with a head kick.

Ohe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Oh Gerbolaev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ohe lands a jab to Gerbolaev's midsection. Gerbolaev seems to have got his legs back now. Gerbolaev with a poor takedown and Ohe counters with a left to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimir Gerbolaev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ohe throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Ohe looks to land a combination. Gerbolaev sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Ohe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Good exchange - Ohe coming out on top. Ohe throws out a powerful jab. Ohe lands a front kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gerbolaev crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ohe - the referee stops the clock and Gerbolaev gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ohe. Gerbolaev manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Ohe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gerbolaev on the side of the head. Ohe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ohe lands with a kick to the temple. Gerbolaev shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Gerbolaev takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ohe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Ohe scores with a one two! Gerbolaev had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Makoto Ohe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ohe looks to land a combination. Gerbolaev sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gerbolaev takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ohe drops Gerbolaev with a beautiful combination! Gerbolaev stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ohe is looking for the KO! Left hook, right uppercut from Ohe. Ohe closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Gerbolaev! Ohe dives in looking to finish! Gerbolaev is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
