4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fjogren Morninglord! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Pool! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morninglord throws a body shot but no joy. Morninglord throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Morninglord takes a swing at Pool's ribcage but misses. Pool lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Pool shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morninglord manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Morninglord escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pool gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pool throws a big elbow that misses. Pool looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Pool is in close to Morninglord's body, working some short punches and elbows. Morninglord working for a triangle but Pool defends it easily.
Pool sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morninglord is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pool with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pool is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pool can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Morninglord looking for a kimura from the bottom but Pool passes into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pool lands some shots froms side control. Pool takes a little break here. Morninglord wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Morninglord is not in a great position here, taking some shots. You can see the frustration on Morninglord's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Morninglord is looking to regain half guard here but Pool keeps moving and retains side control. Pool lands some shots froms side control. Pool lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Morninglord down.

We've been told by Iron's head coaches at Blood & Sand that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Nice takedown defense from Iron. No joy for Majere on that attempt. Iron throws a body shot but no joy. Iron bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Majere throws a leg kick but Iron moved away. Majere throws a body kick that misses letting Iron counter with a right hand. Iron blocks a leg kick. Majere lands a leg kick that knocks Iron off balance momentarily. A low kick from Majere misses and Iron counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Majere pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A head kick by Majere misses and Iron makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Majere shoots in for a takedown but Iron shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Iron throws a body shot but no joy. A cross from Iron lands. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Majere misses with a leg kick and Majere takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Majere tries for a takedown but Iron circles away easily and Iron counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Iron. Majere tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Iron just stands there and leans against the cage. Iron breaks the clinch.

A head kick misses from Lucas. Raffington wants to counter with a clinch but Lucas pushes him away. Raffington fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lucas, pushing him back against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Raffington. Lucas tries to break free but Raffington pushes him back against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Raffington. Raffington is working Lucas over against the cage. Lucas wants to break the clinch but can't.
Raffington with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Raffington feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lucas sprawling to the canvas! Lucas rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Raffington finish him?!

It looks like Henry Lucas has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Raffington instigates a clinch. Oh Lucas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Raffington lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Lucas to his knees! Raffington keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Pollock might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lawrence haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Poor strikes thrown by Lawrence there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Ivanov darts in looking for a takedown but Bergeron gets double underhooks and turns Ivanov into the cage. Bergeron tests Ivanov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ivanov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bergeron looking for submissions off his back. Bergeron really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. No, Ivanov has managed to get both his arms back between Bergeron's legs - danger averted. Bergeron is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ivanov defends well. Bergeron escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ivanov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Ivanov trying to control but Bergeron is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ivanov's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
