The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lizard misses the jab. Wilson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wilson prevents Lizard from improving his position. Wilson stops Lizard from getting back to his feet.
Wilson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wilson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lizard's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson scoring with strikes to the body and head. Wilson lands with a punch from half guard. Wilson is trying to control. Lizard wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson passes to full mount! The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wilson tries to land a front kick but Lizard steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Wilson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Lizard throws a hook but Wilson avoids it easily. Lizard throws a looping overhand right but Wilson ducks down to avoid it. Wilson throws a counter combo. Wilson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lizard as he jumps to the side. Wilson connects with a solid leg kick. Lizard throws a shot from downtown. Wilson moves away and avoids it. Lizard ducks under a wild hook from Wilson. Lizard throws the left hand but Wilson avoids the punch easily. Lizard throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wilson misses with a hook. A nice leg kick lands there from Wilson. Wilson drives through with a takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lizard works over Wilson's head and body with a nice combination. Wilson misses with a hook. Wilson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wilson throws a nice inside leg kick. Lizard thows a left - swing and a miss! Wilson connects with a high kick. Wilson misses with a jab, cross combination.

Lizard looks to score with a jab to the body but Wilson is just out of range. Lizard avoids the body shot from Wilson.
Wilson closes the distance and lands a one-two. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lizard connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lizard misses the jab. Wilson ducks straight into an uppercut from Lizard and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Wilson manages to regain guard straight away.
Wilson is rocked! Lizard gets to his feet - Wilson follows without any prompting. Wilson is still on wobbly legs! Can Lizard finish him? Lizard cracks a nice hook into Wilson's ribs. Wilson seems to have recovered his senses. Wilson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilson lands in his opponent's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lizard seems keen to control Wilson's posture. Lizard continues to stall. Wilson throwing strikes but missing.

Lizard wants to stand and escape but Wilson is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lizard controlling the position. My spies in Death Valley Training Facility inform me that Wilson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Wilson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lizard keeps working. Lizard is trying to control Wilson's posture but Wilson avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Lizard tries to bench press Wilson off him but Wilson keeps the position. Lizard is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Lizard tries to kick Wilson off but Wilson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Wilson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lizard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lizard tries to kick Wilson off in order to stand up. Wilson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Wilson in side control, throwing shots but Lizard defends. Check out the look on Wilson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilson trying to control the position but Lizard is working away. Wilson is trying to get an arm triangle but Lizard is defending well.

Iam listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. A swing and a miss from Rawse. Rawse tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Iam was well out of range. Poor timing from Rawse. Iam swinging wildly here.
Iam ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rawse moves away. Rawse throws an overhand right that lands on Iam's shoulder, as Iam tries to avoid the shot. Iam scores with a one two! Rawse had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Iam connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rawse. Rawse circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rawse lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Matt Iam has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Iam uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rawse. Rawse scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Iam misses the jab. Iam staying out of range there. A combination from Iam does no damage.

and Rawse connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. BOOM! Rawse lands a beautiful left hook that drops Iam. Iam tries to recover but Rawse is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Iam lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Pulkkinen looks like he wants to counter punch here. Figg takes one to the chin there. Figg takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shiba fails to land with a series of punches.
And Kurma responds with a good body kick, but Shiba manages to step out the way in time. A slow jab from Shiba misses its intended target. Kurma looks like he wants to counter punch here. Shiba misses with a body punch
and Kurma counters with a nice body shot. Kurma fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Shiba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A looping hook to the body misses from Kurma. Shiba does a little dance to reset his feet. Kurma will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

It looks like Allan Kurma has been cut. Kurma walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shiba throws a body punch but Kurma moves out of range. Kurma bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Shiba throws a low kick, looking for Kurma's leg but Kurma calmly moves out of range. Shiba throws a body shot but no joy. Kurma throws out a counter right but Shiba avoids it with no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurma with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shiba to score with a decent uppercut. Shiba lands a really nice looking cross but Kurma seems unphased.
Kurma cracks a nice hook into Shiba's ribs. Good shot there by Kurma. Shiba avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kurma misses with a body kick. Shiba waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kurma. Shiba throws out a loose jab but Kurma uses good head movement to avoid it. Shiba listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kurma has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Shiba throws a body kick that misses. Shiba connects with a right hand. Kurma shakes it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shiba throws out a loose jab but Kurma uses good head movement to avoid it. Kurma is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kurma misses with a shot to the body and Shiba counters with a lovely straight right hand! Shiba is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Shiba throws a big shot that misses. Kurma cracks Shiba with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Shiba lands a jab to Kurma's midsection. Tsukune Shiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shiba keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That has opened up Allan Kurma's cut even more. Shiba pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Shiba uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kurma. Shiba thows a left - swing and a miss! Kurma takes one to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurma changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Shiba scores with a nice right hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kurma. Shiba does a little dance to reset his feet. A slow jab from Shiba misses its intended target. A head kick misses from Kurma. A counter left hand to the body from Shiba misses its target. Shiba uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kurma. A quick step to the side and Shiba tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Kurma slips under a jab from Shiba. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kurma! But no joy. Shiba feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kurma sprawling to the canvas! Kurma rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Shiba finish him?!
Kurma is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. and Shiba counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Kurma! He's just covering up as Shiba starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Reilly checks a leg kick. O Reilly changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. A bone on bone clash there as O Reilly blocks the leg kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snowdon connects with a good right hand that stumbles White. White circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Snowdon keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. Snowdon wants to sweep but no luck.

White trying to control the position from guard on top but Snowdon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. White connects with a couple of short punches. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Snowdon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Snowdon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but White can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Snowdon seems to have got his legs back now. White looking to sit in guard and control but Snowdon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. White has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Snowdon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard. White pulls Snowdon in close to his closed guard and prevents Snowdon from doing any damage or advancing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
