The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Studebaker's waist but Studebaker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robertson off to one side.
Studebaker looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Studebaker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Studebaker throws the left hand but Robertson avoids the punch easily.
Robertson goes for a double leg but Studebaker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Studebaker continues to drive forward.

Studebaker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Studebaker is in close to Robertson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Robertson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Studebaker is aware though and is defending well.

Possibly an early stoppage but Robertson doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Well Duarte has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Boaler shoots in for a double leg but Hairyman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Hairyman counters with a three punch combo that has Boaler backing up. Boaler nods at Hairyman to acknowledge the strikes.

We've been told by Hairyman's head coaches at Island Hammers Fight Camp that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Walter Hairyman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Boaler.
