Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between J Gay G (ranked 2485 p4p, 136 weight class) and Luciano Grabowski (ranked 6422 p4p, 267 weight class). Gay G comes to the cage accompanied by Down. J Gay G had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 137.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. On his way into the cage it seems that J Gay G has been attacked by a crazed fan! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kartofloson is defended easily by Kijowsky. Kijowsky throws a fast counter high kick but Kartofloson manages to duck under it in time. Kartofloson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kijowsky as he avoids it easily. Kijowsky was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Kijowsky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kartofloson, pushing him back against the cage. Kartofloson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nickal swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Danilov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Nickal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick from Danilov lands but Nickal takes it in his stride. Danilov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Danilov moves forwards but Nickal connects with a nice, crisp jab. Nickal connects with a looping right hand.

and Danilov counters with a single leg into guard. Nickal didn't expect that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Danilov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nickal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Danilov preventing the sweep.

Danilov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Danilov is trying to control Nickal's posture but Nickal avoids it. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nickal working his ground and pound in the gym. Nickal has hold of Danilov's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Danilov tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Nickal cranks the arm and Danilov screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Danilov, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Magnum slips a straight right by The Crab. The Crab feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The Crab won't allow Magnum to sweep him here. The Crab postures up.

Magnum keeping full guard, as The Crab tries to pass. Magnum manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Crab manages to get himself to full guard.
The Crab is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Magnum defends well. Magnum avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mathews looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Barbosa stuns Mathews with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Mathews tries to close the distance and clinch but Barbosa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barbosa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mathews at a distance.
