Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jaxon Bremner (ranked 3240 p4p, 347 weight class) and Winston Cooper (ranked 4402 p4p, 363 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Winston Cooper was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Bremner drives through with a takedown into Cooper's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bremner looking to break Cooper's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Cooper remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Bremner will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Bremner is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bremner patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Cooper is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bremner gets his way!
Bremner is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cooper has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Cooper tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Cooper has given up his back.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. You can see the frustration on Cooper's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bremner is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Cooper defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Bremner is looking for the choke from the back position but Cooper is controlling his hands well.

Cooper won't allow Bremner to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cooper is trying to maintain the position but Bremner is very close to passing his half guard. Cooper makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cooper. Bremner advances position into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Bremner (16) vs (0) Cooper Cooper wants to control but Bremner postures up. Cooper tries to buck Bremner off but Bremner is having none of it. Bremner looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bremner tries to advance to mount but Cooper denies him. Bremner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cooper has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bremner is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cooper looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bremner gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cooper is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bremner lets go of the hold and Cooper can pop his arm back in it's socket.
