Howell dodges the punch combination from Baker.

Baker closes the distance and clinches up with Howell, looking for a takedown. Baker pushes Howell against the cage but Howell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Sullivan (ranked 2553 p4p, 284 weight class) and Drizontay Wilder (ranked 3266 p4p, 347 weight class). Sullivan's entrance music is The Hand of John L. Sullivan. A fine choice. Drizontay Wilder struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Manley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Parmesan can pounce on him.
Manley shoots for a takedown but Parmesan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parmesan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Manley has time to react.
Parmesan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Manley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Parmesan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Manley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Parmesan's waist but Parmesan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manley off to one side.
Horrible takedown attempt by Manley or perhaps it was just good defense by Parmesan, which made it look bad.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nomad slips under a jab.
Cabrera swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nomad on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Nomad looks to score with a jab to the body but Cabrera is just out of range.

Nomad displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cabrera throws out the jab.

Nomad's coach down at Blanc Fitness Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nomad's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Nomad fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cabrera avoids it really well and circles away.

Cabrera was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nomad is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nomad takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Cabrera takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Cabrera closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Nomad out cold! Nomad corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Our winner, Heller Cabrera, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Mendoza (ranked 1021 p4p, 121 weight class) and Martian Manhunter (ranked 1804 p4p, 191 weight class). Manhunter has chosen My Name Is J'onn J'onzz as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Manhunter has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mendoza is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Mendoza bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Manhunter moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Manhunter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mendoza manages to avoid it.
A punch lands to the side of Manhunter 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Manhunter misses with a wild combination.
Manhunter is still on wobbly legs! Can Mendoza finish him?
Manhunter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mendoza moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mendoza swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Mendoza steps in with a hook that catches Manhunter right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Mendoza follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Manhunter looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Mendoza!
