More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Patton from any more punishment! Patton complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Bumperstein walks straight into a right hand from Fork - that's dropped him! Fork jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bumperstein from any more punishment! Bumperstein complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Magomedov has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ward's coach down at 3Band MMA ($800/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ward's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Ward shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hlaalu eats them both and turns towards Ward to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
