Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Santos (ranked 3597 p4p, 377 weight class) and John Hardin (ranked 22596 p4p, 571 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Nazareth- Let Me Be Your Leader. John Hardin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Hardin! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As Hardin looks to move away, Santos throws a big counter combo but Hardin just gets out of the way. Hardin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've been informed that Hardin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Santos looks to score with a jab to the body but Hardin is just out of range. Hardin lands a jab to Santos's midsection. Hardin throws a head kick that misses. Hardin throws a body kick that misses letting Santos counter with a right hand. A solid body kick from Hardin. Hardin throws a right and a left that both miss. Hardin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Hardin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santos. A jab from Santos misses. Hardin is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Santos with a body shot. Santos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hardin. A head kick misses from Hardin. Santos looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hardin throws a shot from downtown. Santos moves away and avoids it. Santos jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Hardin. A punch combination from Hardin misses. An inside leg kick lands from Hardin. Hardin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hardin throws a hook but Santos avoids it easily. Santos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hardin throws out the jab. Santos went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Santos tries to move into range but Hardin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Hardin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Santos walks into a stiff left hand from Hardin. Hardin misses the body punch and Santos moves into the clinch. Santos unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hardin lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Santos pulls guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Santos controls Hardin momentarily but Hardin frees himself. Hardin trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos is trying to control the position but Hardin postures up. Santos wants to sweep but no luck. Santos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hardin defends well. Santos looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hardin trying to control but Santos is working from the bottom. Hardin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hardin with a flurry of punches that miss. Santos keeping moving, preventing Hardin from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos is looking for a triangle but Hardin pushes his legs off easily.

Santos is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Brotherhood MMA (16 ELITE COACHES) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Hardin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Santos works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hardin wants to get up but he can't break Santos's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Santos blocks a head kick by Hardin.
Hardin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hardin misses with a leg kick and Santos counters with a stiff right hand. Hardin lands a right hook to the body.

It looks like Johnny Santos has been cut. A good leg kick by Hardin. Santos checks a leg kick. Good exchange - Hardin coming out on top. Santos lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Santos. John Hardin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Santos drives through and clinches with Hardin against the cage.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Hardin. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Santos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hardin just stands there and leans against the cage. Hardin throws a punch but it's blocked by Santos. Hardin is looking to control Santos's arms but Santos gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hardin has his back to the cage. Santos stalling.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hardin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hardin throws a head kick but Santos moves out of range.
Santos tries to counter by clinching up but Hardin breaks away and moves out of range. Hardin thows a leg kick but Santos checks it and Santos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hardin misses with a punch on the inside.
Santos drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hardin wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving. Hardin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hardin throwing strikes from guard but Santos blocks nicely. Santos throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hardin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Santos wants to sweep but no luck. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Santos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hardin working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Santos has passed into half guard!

Santos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hardin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hardin and Santos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

and Santos finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Hardin looks to score with a jab to the body but Santos is just out of range. Santos was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Hardin lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Hardin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Hardin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. As Hardin backs away, Santos returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Some wild striking there from Hardin.
Santos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardin sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hardin lands a right hook to the body.
Hardin throws a head kick that misses. Santos checks a leg kick. Santos darts in and clinches Hardin up against the cage. Hardin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Santos has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hardin uses from the top position. Santos seems keen to control Hardin's posture. Santos keeping moving, preventing Hardin from controlling successfully. Hardin is fighting to break Santos's control of his arms but Santos is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hardin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Santos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hardin has managed to get both his arms back between Santos's legs - danger averted. Johnny Santos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Santos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hardin is one step ahead there. Santos lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Santos postures up.
Santos wants to control from the top but Hardin keeps moving. Hardin has his foot on Santos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Santos works his way back into a safe position though. Hardin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Santos is figuring out what he wants to do next. Santos trying to control from half guard but Hardin is working away. Hardin is trying to maintain the position but Santos is very close to passing his half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Rene Aragnee's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Herzog Hearn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aragnee can do to turn this around? Aragnee tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Aragnee misses with a hook from the clinch. Herzog Hearn misses with an elbow strike.

BangYou throws a hook to the side of Lang's head but Lang sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. BangYou pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lang takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lang swings widly with a right hand
letting BangYou counter with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lang misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. BangYou throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Lang rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and BangYou moves into the clinch. Lang is trying to break the clinch but BangYou has him pressed against the cage. BangYou drops Lang with a big knee straight up the middle! Lang is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Lang is rocked! A telegraphed right hand from Lang misses the target. BangYou fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Lang to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Lang looks to clinch but BangYou throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Lang taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

He's shot a load of snot all down Dinklage's shoulder. That is not cool. Neil tries to move to mount but Dinklage blocks the move with his legs. Neil content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Dinklage looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Neil looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Neil fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dinklage manages to avoid it. Dinklage tries to clinch but Neil is having none of it. Neil avoids a punch combination nicely.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Neil closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dinklage to the mat! Dinklage manages to get full guard. Neil slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Neil trying to control but Dinklage is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No joy there for Neil, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dungey looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Dungey connects with a crisp jab. The fighters circling - Hall throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dungey takes one to the chin there. Charlie Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hall missing with a left hand there. Dungey was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A little feinted left hand from Dungey on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Dungey misses with a looping right. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hall feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dungeys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hall gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Hall wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dungey has him pressed against the cage. Dungey scores with a nice hook to the head. Dungey lands a hook to the side of the head. Hall wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Dungey has Hall pressed against the cage, preventing Hall from circling away and getting back to striking at range. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pandens ducks under a wild hook from Brooks. Brooks throws the left hand but Pandens avoids the punch easily. Pandens looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Brooks is looking to land body kicks. Pandens jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Brooks throws a right and a left that both miss. Pandens lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Brooks misses with a jab to the body
and Pandens counters with a stiff right hand. Pandens lands with an overhand left. Pandens connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Brooks's hands.
Brooks is rocked! Pandens has been working on his boxing with his coaches at MONEY TEAM!!! in the buildup to the fight. Brooks swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Brooks is still on wobbly legs! Can Pandens finish him? Pandens cracks Brooks with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Brooks tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Pandens pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Brooks is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
