The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benjamins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walsh avoids it really well and circles away. Benjamins fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Walsh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Benjamins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Walsh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Benjamins misses with a takedown attempt - Walsh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Walsh appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
