Felix Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Hideki Matsui has been cut.
Star Platinum has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Matsui is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Oh Matsui is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Matsui tries to score a power double leg takedown but Star Platinum sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matsui somewhat.
Matsui loses concentration momentarily and Star Platinum pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Matsui crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Star Platinum finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Graves has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Iron Man (Fitness & Sparring). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Garrett has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Garrett sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Garrett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taurus swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Taurus throws out a loose jab but Garrett uses good head movement to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Garrett on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Taurus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Taurus keeps the fight on the outside.
Taurus lands a glancing blow to the side of Garrett's head.

It looks like Craig Garrett has been cut.
Taurus throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Taurus jabs Garrett to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Taurus pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Taurus steps into range and cracks Garrett with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Garrett flops backwards and Taurus dives into his guard looking to finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Garrett has a closed guard, preventing Taurus from standing up.

Taurus would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Garrett wants to stand up but Taurus is controlling him.
Taurus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Garrett has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Taurus finds it's way round the side to connect with Garrett's head.
Garrett shoots in for a takedown but Taurus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Taurus looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Taurus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Taurus clobbers Garrett with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Garrett moves in looking to clinch but Taurus pushes him off.
Garrett slips under a jab from Taurus.
Taurus throws a hook to the side of Garrett's head but Garrett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Taurus bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Garrett! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Taurus has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Garrett is proving hard to escape from.
Oh Garrett is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Garrett seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garrett has control of Taurus's left arm, preventing Taurus from doing any damage.

Garrett lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
