The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jahic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Flynn's waist but Flynn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jahic off to one side. Flynn drops Jahic with a beautiful combination! Jahic stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Flynn is looking for the KO!
Jahic is rocked!
It looks like Denis Jahic has been cut. Flynn steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Jahic is out on his feet! Flynn sets himself and nearly takes Jahic's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mygueel avoids a punch combination nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mygueel. Mygueel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martens sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mygueel somewhat. Mygueel takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Marcello Mygueel has been cut. Mygueel misses with a takedown and Martens counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Mygueel badly! Martens follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Mygueel out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Martens finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alex Martens! An out of breath Alex Martens thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burrows throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kotkaniemi was covering up waiting for the punch and Burrows finishes the takedown easily into guard. Burrows working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kotkaniemi wriggles free and stands up. Kotkaniemi moves out of range as Burrows throws a body kick.
Kotkaniemi moves in looking to clinch but Burrows pushes him off. Burrows changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kotkaniemi tries to avoid it but Burrows manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kotkaniemi to the ground. Kotkaniemi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Burrows throws a poor cross that misses
and Kotkaniemi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kotkaniemi looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kotkaniemi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burrows's head. Kotkaniemi working Burrows over with strikes. Kotkaniemi not doing much here.
Kotkaniemi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kotkaniemi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Burrows tries to roll over but Kotkaniemi keeps him under control.

Burrows is rocked! Kotkaniemi is figuring out what he wants to do next. Burrows is still in real trouble! Can Kotkaniemi finish him? The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kotkaniemi connects with a nice short shot to Burrows's temple. Kotkaniemi is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Burrows is hurt! He's hurt bad - Kotkaniemi fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Burrows from any more punishment! Congratulations to Kotkaniemi! Great finish!

Queef acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Shelby throws a head kick that misses. And Queef tries to counter it with a takedown but Shelby pushes his down on his head and steps out. Shelby misses with a looping left. Shelby takes a swing at Queef's ribcage but misses. Shelby falls off balance throwing a combination

Silva connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Silva works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Austin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Austin looks like he wants to counter punch here. Silva throws a poor cross that misses

and Haba counters by moving into the clinch. Haba has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jakua is trying to keep an underhook but Haba manages to get the takedown into half guard. Haba trying to mount his opponent but Jakua defends it. Haba is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jakua controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Jakua is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Haba jumps into side control! Jakua is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Haba creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jakua sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jakua defending against the ground and pound. Jakua is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Haba wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jakua, who protects the arm well. Jakua stops Haba from passing to mount. Haba tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Haba has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Haba tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Haba is looking to take a break and control but Jakua is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Haba throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Haba is staying tight to Jakua's torso, preventing him from escaping. Haba working away. Haba passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jakua! Haba thowing shots but they're missing. Haba misses with a head shot. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Haba with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Jakua scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Haba manages to mount him!

Haba jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jakua is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jakua and Haba has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haba wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jakua keeps working. Haba working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Haba looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jakua stops Haba from passing to mount.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ground and pound from Haba seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Haba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Haba is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jakua has escaped the position, nice work there. Jakua can't do much from the bottom here. Jakua is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Haba tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jakua's legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haba working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Haba trying to control the position but Jakua is working away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A lull in the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennett throws out a loose jab but Rutten uses good head movement to avoid it. Bennett uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rutten. Bennett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rutten manages to avoid it. A big right from Bennett misses. Bennett doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. That was a close round but I would say that Rahim Shabazz will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
