Bryant shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bryant was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bryant definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Davis clinches up against the cage.

Cain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cain throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Davis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Davis tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cain defends well and Davis ends up having to push Cain into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Cain jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Davis shoots in looking for a takedown but Cain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Davis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Davis gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cain.
Cain connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Davis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cain counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd cheers as Cain lands an impressive looking overhand right. Davis doesn't seem phased though.

and Cain rattles Davis with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Davis tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Cain dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Davis stiff and motionless on the mat!

We've been hearing good reports from Gilchrist's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That was a close round but Sonny Gilchrist did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
