The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Haller moves into the clinch. Haller has hold of one of Sac's legs. Sac is fighting the takedown attempt but Haller gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Let's hope that Sac has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Sac is continuing to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sac's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sac can do anything to dispel that myth. Sac is trying to maintain the position but Haller is very close to passing his half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Haller in particular looking to stall. Sac controlling the position well.

Haller has control of an arm but Sac manages to advance to Haller's back! Haller seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sac does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. That's eight minutes gone in the round. Sac looks winded! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haller controls the action. Haller is not going to allow Sac to sit and survive in this position. Haller tries to get the hooks in deep but Sac pushed the leg off. Haller is really struggling to control Sac but he's trying to hold on to the position. Sac rolls, trying to escape but Haller keeps control of the position.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Sac trying to control the action but Haller just sinks the hooks in. Haller controls the action. Sac trying to control the hands but Haller won't let him. Sac looking very determined here, making life difficult for Haller.
I really don't envy Sac right now.

Haller is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Haller has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Haller is looking to control Sac but Sac is wriggling around and keeping busy. Sac trying to control but not successfully. A lull in the action here.

Perhaps he's looking to stall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Haller trying to keep a closed guard but Sac is proving a slippery customer.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Dar Jee! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Mangan doesn't manage to clinch there - Jee circles away.
Jee gets a clinch. Jee pulls guard. Mangan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mangan has managed to get both his arms back between Jee's legs - danger averted. Jee looking for a triangle here. Mangan is fighting it but it looks tight! Jee pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Mangan is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Dar Jee!
