Danny Mullen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Danny Mullen! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minuto slips a straight right by Mullen. Minuto fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mullen checks it well. Good work by Mullen as he checks the leg kick. Minuto finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mullen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Minuto throws a leg kick and Mullen counters with a stiff right hand.

Minuto is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Minuto throws a leg kick but Mullen sees it coming and moves out of range. Oh Minuto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mullen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Minuto. Minuto seems to have got his legs back now. A low kick from Minuto is predictable there and Mullen counters with a crisp right hand that drops Minuto! Mullen lets Minuto back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Manlio Minuto's cut is getting worse. Minuto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minuto slips under a jab from Mullen. Mullen lands a nice looking body shot.

Minuto shoots in for a takedown but Mullen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mullen let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Minuto lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mullen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mullen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mullen takes a swing at Minuto's ribcage but misses. Minuto misses with a leg kick enabling Mullen to counter with a crisp jab.
Manlio Minuto's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Mullen blocks a low kick nicely. It seemed like Mullen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lesnar decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
