8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gunner Larsson! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Linga gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Larsson counters by clinching up. Linga tries for a takedown but Larsson manages to get underhooks.
Larsson has hold of one of Linga's legs. Linga is fighting the takedown attempt but Larsson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Linga wants to sweep but no luck. Linga is controlling Larsson's posture. Linga throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Larsson cracks Linga with a solid left hand. Larsson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Linga is adopting a defensive guard. We've been hearing good reports from Linga's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Larsson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Larsson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Larsson postures up in Linga's guard and throws a big left but Linga blocks it. The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mulder shoots and misses and Guy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Guy jabs at Mulder's body. Jab, jab by Guy - just one landing. Guy lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mulder throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guy's waist but Guy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mulder off to one side. Guy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Guy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Guy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Niek Mulder has been cut. Guy connects with a right hand. Mulder shakes it off. Mulder definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Mulder dives in and grabs Guy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Guy pushes down on Mulder's head and hops out. Guy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niek Mulder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guy with a body punch. A glancing blow. Boxing Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Guy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mulder looks to score with a jab to the body but Guy is just out of range. Mulder takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Mulder takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Mulder closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Guy's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth. Mulder lands a couple of digs. Mulder content to stall in guard here.

Superior seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. The fighters circling - Fapple throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A jab from Superior misses. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Superior has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Fapple is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Superior yanks on the arm and Fapple is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Superior.

Bodson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Robinson closes the distance and clinches up with Bodson, looking for a takedown.
