Larousse darts in looking for a takedown but Gardet gets double underhooks and turns Larousse into the cage.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Larousse has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Larousse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gardet moves away.
Larousse changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gardet tries to avoid it but Larousse manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gardet to the ground. Gardet escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gardet looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Larousse shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gardet as he avoids it easily.
Sacha Gardet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Basile Larousse.

Gardet fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Larousse to the ground. Gardet is now in Larousse's guard.
