The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dahlin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Oliveira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dahlin as he jumps to the side. A head kick misses from Dahlin. Oliveira seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Dahlin shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Oliveira is backing up but Dahlin catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Oliveira covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Dahlin Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva lands with a cross. A combination from Silva does no damage. Silva throws a series of punches but tuli moves out of range. tuli throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily. tuli pushes Silva away with a front kick. tuli has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.

Silva is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! tuli drops Silva with a big knee straight up the middle! Silva is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Silva is rocked! A head kick by tuli - that's a beauty! Silva is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even tuli can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

It looks like Cornelius Mendez has been cut. Rock tries to circle away but Mendez has him pinned against the cage. Rock lands a body punch. Donk. Long catches Pulver right on the button with a cross. Long throws a hook but Pulver blocks it. Long closes the distance looking to clinch and Pulver counters with a takedown into side control. Long might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Long is looking to reverse the position. Long gets back to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Long is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pulver pulls his head out easily. Pulver is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Long manages to get to full guard.

Oh, the punch misses and Long has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Pulver manages to get his head free but now Long has transitioned to an armbar! Pulver grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Long! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hater Hurter! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vlad Impaler! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hurter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jab, jab by Hurter - just one landing. Hurter scoring well with a low kick there.
Impaler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hurter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Impaler somewhat. Hurter connects with a body shot. Impaler moves in looking to clinch but Hurter pushes him off. Hurter looks to land a combination but Impaler avoids it well. Jab, jab by Hurter - just one landing. Nice sprawl there from Hurter as Impaler shoots in. Hurter cracks Impaler with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Impaler scores with a takedown into Hurter's guard. Impaler stops Hurter from standing up. Impaler drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hurter dives on top into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hurter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hurter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Impaler on the ground. Hurter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hurter looking to pass the guard. Hurter wants to stand but Impaler has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hurter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Impaler looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hurter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hurter wanted to stand there but Impaler had control of the position. Hurter stands up and waves to Impaler to follow him. Impaler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hurter tries to avoid it but Impaler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hurter to the ground. Hurter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hater Hurter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vlad Impaler. Impaler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hurter to the mat! Hurter manages to get full guard. Impaler trying to control but Hurter is working from the bottom. Hurter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Impaler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hurter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hurter pulls Impaler in close to prevent any damage. Impaler drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hurter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hurter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hurter! Hurter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Impaler to his feet. Hurter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Impaler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hurter.
Hurter lands an overhand right. Donk. Hurter catches Impaler right on the button with a cross. Hurter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Impaler showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hurter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Impaler looks for a takedown but Hurter sprawls well. Hurter slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Impaler shoots for a double leg takedown but Hurter sprawls well. He's pushed Impaler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A jab from Hurter finds it's way through Impaler's defenses. Hurter is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Impaler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hurter circles away. Impaler looks gassed! Impaler fails with a takedown attempt. Impaler shoots in but no luck this time. Impaler takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hurter tries to bum rush Impaler with a series of wild strikes but Impaler uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hurter connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The crowd cheers as Hurter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Impaler doesn't seem phased though. Hater Hurter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hurter misses with a double jab.
Hurter closes the distance and lands a one-two. Impaler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hurter lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Impaler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hurter circles away. A combination from Hurter does no damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hater Hurter dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Impaler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hurter defends it nicely. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Hurter lands with a good body shot. Hater Hurter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hurter lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Vlad Impaler has been cut. Hurter closes the distance and lands a one-two. Hurter lands a nice hook to Impaler's body. Impaler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Impaler dodges the punch combination from Hurter.
Hurter with a jab. Impaler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hurter swivels and escapes. Impaler walks into a stiff left hand from Hurter. Left hook, right uppercut from Hurter.
Impaler is rocked! Impaler takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Impaler is still on wobbly legs! Can Hurter finish him? This has been an exciting period of action! Hurter lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Impaler can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Hurter and Impaler drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Hurter.
