1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Mayer! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mayer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Frey moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromMayer. Mayer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Frey.
It looks like Abel Frey has been cut. Mayer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Frey but Frey pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mayer clinches with his opponent.

Frey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Frey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayer trying to control the position from guard on top but Frey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mayer trying to control from half guard but Frey is working away. Frey looking for submissions off his back. Mayer wants to stand but Frey has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mayer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Frey keeping moving, preventing Mayer from controlling successfully. Frey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mayer holds on and takes a little breather. Abel Frey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mayer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Frey, up you get! Frey moves out of range of the body kick from Mayer.
Frey half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Frey tries to close the distance and clinch but Mayer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Frey doesn't manage to clinch there - Mayer circles away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sionis shoots in and bounces Box off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Box is working an open guard so Sionis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Sionis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Box pushes Sionis off but Sionis dives into side control.
Sionis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Box to his feet. Sionis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Box as he avoids it easily. Box fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sionis tries for a takedown but Box sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Box went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Box fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sionis knocks Box to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
It looks like Johny Box has been cut. Sionis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Box to his feet. Sionis closes the distance and pushes Box back into the cage. Box prevents the takedown attempt.
Johny Box has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Sionis. Sionis lands a nice elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Box fails to pull guard.

This has been an exciting period of action! A cross from Barbosa lands. Rogers shoots for a takedown but Barbosa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rogers swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Barbosa counters with a nice uppercut. Rogers takes one to the side of the head.
A left and a right from Barbosa both land. Nice combination. Barbosa lunges at Rogers with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rogers's hand. Barbosa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Rogers defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Barbosa is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Barbosa stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Barbosa lands with a kick to the ribs.
Barbosa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Barbosa pushes down on Rogers's leg and manages to get into half guard. Rogers is defending against the submission attempts here by Barbosa.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barbosa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Barbosa gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Barbosa lands with an overhand left. Barbosa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Rogers with a poor takedown and Barbosa counters with a stiff right hand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conan as he avoids it easily. Conan lands with a good body shot. Popov goes for a double leg but Conan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Conan continues to drive forward. Popov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Conan to score with a decent uppercut. Conan digs a good hook to Popov's body.
Popov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Conan counters with a lovely shot to the body. Edward Conan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evgeny Popov. Conan cracks Popov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Evgeny Popov has been cut. Conan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCarthy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. McCarthy with a poor takedown and Knox cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. McCarthy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Beta Knox has been cut. McCarthy closes the distance but Knox moves to the side and Knox counters with a nice uppercut. Knox lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A slow jab from McCarthy misses its intended target. Knox throwing a counter right hand but McCarthy manages to avoid it. McCarthy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Knox waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McCarthy. McCarthy is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Another big shot to the jaw from Knox and McCarthy drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Knox.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Huchkov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The Crab avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Huchkov's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Huchkov is sitting in close to The Crab's body. The Crab has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Huchkov is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Huchkov is tapping! That was a very nice submission by The Crab.
