These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil Baloni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Bashir! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bashir connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Baloni misses with a straight left. A little jabbing left from Bashir on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Baloni ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bashir moves away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bashir! But no joy. Baloni slips under a jab. Bashir takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Baloni's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bashir under the eye.
 It looks like Julian Bashir has been cut. Baloni throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bashir jabs at Baloni's body. Baloni misses the shot to the body. A jab lands there for Bashir. Baloni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bashir. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bashir! But no joy. Bashir misses with a straight left. Phil Baloni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bashir takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bashir bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bashir throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Baloni stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Bashir counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Bashir staying out of range there. Baloni closes the distance and clinches up with Bashir, looking for a takedown. Baloni pushes Bashir against the cage but Bashir circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bashir dips to his left and cracks Baloni with an uppercut! Bashir takes a swing at Baloni's ribcage but misses. Bashir bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bashir is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Baloni. Baloni tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bashir manages to circle out of the way. Bashir slips a jab from Baloni.

Baloni misses with a left hand and Bashir counters with a lovely shot to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baloni tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Baloni tries to clinch but Bashir moves out of range. Bashir looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Baloni jabbing away but nothing is landing. Baloni ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bashir moves away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bashir! But no joy. Baloni ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Baloni wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Bashir scores with a punch to the head. Baloni connects with a looping right hand.

Baloni tries to clinch and Bashir counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Baloni is looking to break free of the clinch but Bashir has double underhooks. Baloni's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Baloni digs a right hand underneath Bashir's ribcage. Bashir let out a lung full of air as it connected. The referee is keeping an eye on Baloni - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Come on Baloni - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Baloni gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Baloni tries to work over Bashir's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Baloni misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Baloni lands a shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baloni looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Baloni wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bashir has him pressed against the cage. Baloni has Bashir pressed against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Phil Baloni will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Julian Bashir's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Baloni scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Baloni lands a jab to Bashir's midsection. Bashir avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Baloni, as that shot connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Baloni tries to clinch up but Bashir circles away and keeps his distance. Bashir swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Baloni feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bashirs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Baloni needs to keep his hands up - Bashir had a free shot at his head there.

Kristof perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Astra can do anything to dispel that myth.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boss wants to clinch.
Pusilla shoots in and bounces Boss off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Pusilla trying to stand up but can't free himself from Boss's guard.
Pusilla is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pusilla distracts Boss with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pusilla controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Pusilla postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pusilla controls from within his opponent's guard.

Boss throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pusilla jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
 It looks like Timi Boss has been cut. Nice takedown defense from Pusilla. No joy for Boss on that attempt. Pusilla tries a head kick but it misses.

Boss gets control of Pusilla's arms and successfully pulls guard. Boss will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Pusilla sitting in guard, not really doing much.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like Pusilla might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Pusilla decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Pusilla is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Boss. A looping hook to the body misses from Pusilla. Boss does a little dance to reset his feet. Boss dives in and grabs Pusilla's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pusilla pushes down on Boss's head and hops out. Pusilla thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pusilla engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Boss has a closed guard, preventing Pusilla from standing up.

Pusilla has hold of Boss's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Boss tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pusilla cranks the arm and Boss screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Boss, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikson instigates a clinch. Erikson with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Erikson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Erikson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bizihwaeile connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Bizihwaeile throws a leg kick and Erikson counters with a straight right hand. Bizihwaeile misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bizihwaeile walks into a jab. The fighters circling - Erikson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. It looked like Bizihwaeile was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Bizihwaeile fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice uppercut there from Erikson.
Erikson cracks Bizihwaeile with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Erikson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bizihwaeile to stand back up!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bizihwaeile looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Bizihwaeile. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bizihwaeile is looking to clinch but Erikson is avoiding it.
Bizihwaeile moves out of range as Erikson strikes. A quick step to the side and Bizihwaeile tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Johnny Bizihwaeile seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circle momentarily. Erikson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Erikson drops Bizihwaeile with a naaaaasty hook - Bizihwaeile is in real trouble here! Erikson dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter throws a hook to the side of Colucci's head but Colucci sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Colucci shoots in but no luck this time. Carter throws a lazy uppercut
and Colucci counters with a nice double leg into guard. Colucci wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving. Carter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colucci controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Colucci is looking to work some ground and pound but Carter has wrist control. Carter controls Colucci momentarily but Colucci frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Carter is working hard here to advance position.

and Colucci counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Carter seems keen to control Colucci's posture. Carter is looking to stand up but Colucci isn't so interested in that idea. Colucci trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom. Colucci is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Carter trying to keep a closed guard but Colucci is proving a slippery customer.
