The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soares throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Down tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Soares is in Down's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soares is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Down wants to get back to his feet but Soares is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Down looking to hit a scissor sweep but Soares is one step ahead there.

Tonissaar throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stickmann stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tonissaar throws a leg kick which misses Stickmann's front leg but catches the back leg as Stickmann tries to avoid it.
That kick from Tonissaar tenderised Stickmann's leg. Stickmann is trying to keep his angry face on.
Stickmann has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Tonissaar has closed the distance and engaged Stickmann in a clinch.
Tonissaar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
