The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKinney lands a body shot.
Maeda looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! McKinney moves into the clinch. McKinney works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Maeda might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McKinney advances position into side control! The ground and pound from McKinney seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. McKinney controlling the position. Let's hope that McKinney has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tam blocks a jab. Phasian misses with a few strikes there.
Phasian thows a body shot but no joy. Phasian throws a body punch but Tam moves out of range. A telegraphed right hand from Tam misses the target. Tam throws a hook to the side of Phasian's head but Phasian sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Phasian fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Tam uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Phasian.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Phasian misses with a body shot.
Tam fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Phasian looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Tam swings and misses with a shot to the body and Phasian counters with a right hand to the body.

Phasian misses with a shot to the body and Tam counters with a lovely shot to the body. Phasian is breathing heavily. Phasian misses with a looping right. Tam tries to clinch but Phasian moves out of range. Kiro Phasian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phasian thows a body shot but no joy. Tam moves into range and clinches up with Phasian. Tam lands a body shot in the clinch.
Tam lands a nice uppercut. Tam gets through Phasian's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. The referee is keeping an eye on Tam - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tam lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Tam digs a right hand underneath Phasian's ribcage. Phasian let out a lung full of air as it connected. Tam lands a hook to the side of the head. Tam lands a nice uppercut. Tam content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Tam lands with a right to the head. Tam will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Phasian up against the cage. Tam is working Phasian over against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by River Tam. Tam lands a big right hand that sends Phasian crashing to the mat! Tam stays standing though and waves Phasian back to his feet!

It looks like Kiro Phasian has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Tam tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Good exchange - Phasian coming out on top. Tam is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Phasian keeps the fight on the outside. Tam wants to clinch up but Phasian keeps it at a distance. Phasian defending well as Tam loads up on a big left hand. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Phasian swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Phasian throws an overhand right that lands on Tam's shoulder, as Tam tries to avoid the shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
River Tam dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kiro Phasian's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Tam closes the distance but Phasian moves to the side and Phasian counters with a left to the body. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Tam. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Nice body punch from Phasian. Phasian lands an overhand right. Tam thows a left - swing and a miss! Phasian misses with a jab to the body
and Tam holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A head punch on the inside from Tam fails to land. Tam working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Tam lands a nice uppercut. Tam lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Tam presses Phasian against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Tam works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

River Tam seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tam creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. A nice left hand lands by Tam.

Phasian seems to have got his legs back now. River Tam seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tam pushes Phasian up against the cage in a clinch. Stalling in the clinch from Tam.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tam. Phasian tries to stall but Tam uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

River Tam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kiro Phasian's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Phasian keeps the fight on the outside. A big left from Tam misses. Phasian throws a body punch but Tam moves out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Phasian throws a right hand that Tam ducks under and follows up with a left that Tam also avoids with ease. Kiro Phasian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! River Tam is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Tam steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Phasian.
And that's the end of the fight! River Tam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tam has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Murphey moves out of range of the strikes. Rua tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Murphey uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rua. Rua leaves Murphey with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Murphey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. The crowd cheers as Murphey lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rua doesn't seem phased though. Nice body punch from Rua. Murphey looks gassed! Rua throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Murphey on the side of the head. Rua pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rua misses with a straight right. Rua lands with an uppercut that bounces Murphey off the cage and back into rage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rua throws a nice looking combination but Murphey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rua drops his shoulder and cracks Murphey with a huge uppercut! Murphey goes down! Can Rua finish him?
Murphey is rocked! Rua is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Murphey is still in real trouble! Can Rua finish him? Murphey seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rua's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Rua seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Murphey for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Marco Rua. Rua misses with a head kick.

Murphey ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Murphey fails to land the takedown. Marco Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khris Murphey. Rua misses with a double jab.
Rua tries to clinch but Murphey is having none of it. Murphey staying out of range there. Rua tries to close the distance and clinch but Murphey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ollheos doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kasava keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
