The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harel stuffs the takedown attempt from Surge. Surge gets slowly back to his feet.
Harel shoots in looking for a takedown but Surge manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Harel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubio looks for a takedown but Shower Handel sprawls well.
Shower Handel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Rubio gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Shower Handel connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Michael Rubio has been cut.

Rubio has been working on his balance at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Shower Handel.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Rubio. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shower Handel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shower Handel lands with a straight right. Rubio didn't see that one coming.
Rubio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shower Handel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rubio somewhat.
Shower Handel fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rubio on the side of the head.
Rubio takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Shower Handel catches Rubio napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Rubio to the canvas!
