The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Senzuri scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Machida on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Senzuri uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Machida.
Senzuri scores with the left hand. Machida knows he should have avoided that one. Senzuri lands a really nice looking cross but Machida seems unphased.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Machida throws a combination that misses and Senzuri makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Machida looks gassed! Machida takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Machida is rocked! Senzuri dances in with a quick combination. Machida is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Senzuri snaps Machida's head back. Machida stumbles backwards against the ropes. Senzuri steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Machida's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Machida just didn't come prepared.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swift tries to bum rush Zulu with a series of wild strikes but Zulu uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Swift scores with a shot to the body.

It looks like Shaka Zulu has been cut. Zulu doesn't succeed with the takedown and Swift counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Swift throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zulu tries for a takedown but Swift circles away easily and Swift cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zulu checks the leg kick. Swift changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zulu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Zulu is not content to let Swift control the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Zulu tries to buck Swift off but Swift is having none of it. Swift is trying to get an arm triangle but Zulu is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Zulu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Swift decides to take the fight back to the feet. Zulu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Swift with a poor takedown and Zulu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Zulu throws a sloppy head kick and Swift moves out of range easily.
