The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Currie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from White.
A lazy left from White finds it's target.

It looks like Colten Currie has been cut.
White waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Currie.
It looked like Currie wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
White misses with a left hand
and Currie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Currie slips a straight right by White.
Currie takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A telegraphed right hand from White misses the target.
A little feinted left hand from Currie on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

White drops his shoulder and cracks Currie with a huge uppercut! Currie goes down! Can White finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
White slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Currie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White.
White is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
White must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Currie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but White can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Currie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
White slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Currie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Currie tries to move into range but White moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

White steps into range and cracks Currie with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Currie flops backwards and White dives into his guard looking to finish!

Lata throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Lata's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hoshigaki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lata - the referee stops the clock and Hoshigaki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lata. Hoshigaki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hoshigaki lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lata has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lata and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Desmond Dumile.

Nelson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Watkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Watkins closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nelson did well to prevent Watkins getting side control.

Watkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nelson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Watkins somewhat.

Watkins tries to kick Nelson off in order to stand up. Nelson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Watkins wants to control but Nelson postures up.
