8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joey The Lion! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by The Lion or perhaps it was just good defense by Kawajiri which made him look bad. Kawajiri drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kawajiri tries to stand but The Lion is controlling from the bottom. Kawajiri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Lion on the ground. Kawajiri stands up and waves to The Lion to follow him. The Lion gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kawajiri to score an easy takedown into full guard. The Lion wants to stand and escape but Kawajiri is having none of it. The Lion working for submissions but it's allowed Kawajiri to get to half guard.
Kawajiri looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawajiri seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The Lion moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The Lion tries to strike from the bottom.
Kawajiri would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kawajiri is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The Lion working for a triangle but Kawajiri defends it easily.
The Lion has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kawajiri should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, The Lion has tightened it up now! Kawajiri should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Starikov defending well as Okada loads up on a big left hand. Okada takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Starikov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Okada doesn't seem bothered though. Starikov drives through and clinches with Okada against the ropes.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Starikov walks away with a smile on his face. Okada gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Starikov ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Starikov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Okada looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Starikov gets in close and instigates a clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Starikov.

Starikov is working Okada over against the ropes. Starikov scores with a hook to the body. Starikov lands a right hand that snaps the head of Okada backwards. Okada's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Starikov is leaning against Okada and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Starikov lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A body shot lands from Starikov.

Okada wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Okada decides to pull guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Okada is on top in guard.

Okada trying to control but Starikov is working from the bottom. Starikov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Starikov trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Okada stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Starikov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Okada passes easily into side control. Nice work. Starikov is looking to regain half guard here but Okada keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Starikov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Starikov clinches up with Okada and pushes him back against the ropes. Starikov struggles to land a body shot inside as Okada controls his hands.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chim leaves Doji with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Chim fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Doji sprawls well initially but Chim persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chim is trying to work for a kimura but Doji is defending well.
Chim is looking to take a break and control but Doji is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Doji knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chim on the ground. Doji is looking to control Chim's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Doji avoid being mounted? Chim thows a huge punch but Doji dodges it nicely.
Doji gets full guard. Chim is pushing down on Doji's leg trying to pass to half guard. Doji is fighting to maintain full guard but Chim has managed to sneak the leg through. Chim is looking for a kimura but Doji is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chim to get the leverage. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Chim tries to pass the half guard into mount. Doji knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Chim wants to control but Doji is keeping him busy.

He has the arm isolated but Doji is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Doji manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Doji is stalling here. Chim is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Doji seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Chim has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Chim cracks Doji with an elbow. That is naaassty. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dong Chim dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Chim tries for a takedown but Doji circles away easily and Doji counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Doji not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Nice strikes from Doji there. Chim slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Doji preventing the sweep. Doji lands a couple of decent looking shots. Chim is pulling down on Doji's head. It's preventing any offense from Doji, at least for the moment. Doji passes easily into side control. Nice work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Doji misses with a head shot. Chim uses the momentum to regain guard. Chim is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Chim stops Doji from getting back to his feet.

Izakawa trying to control the position from guard on top but Matsui is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Izakawa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matsui swivels though and keeps the full guard. Izakawa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matsui has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Izakawa has managed to get both his arms back between Matsui's legs - danger averted. Matsui working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Izakawa. Matsui utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Matsui looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Izakawa is sitting in close to Matsui's body. Matsui has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Izakawa is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Izakawa is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Matsui.

Sitake working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jenkins. Jenkins in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jenkins lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jenkins tries to free his leg and advance position but Sitake is retaining full guard. Jenkins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jenkins wants to stand and escape but instead Sitake has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Sitake with a flurry of punches that miss. Sitake trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jenkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sitake is working Jenkins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jenkins keeping moving, preventing Sitake from controlling successfully. Sitake with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Sitake working over Jenkins with some ground and pound. Jenkins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Jenkins is looking to escape. Sitake is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sitake lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Sitake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jenkins has hold of Sitake's hands but Sitake slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sitake is thwarting Jenkins's attempts to control the position. Sitake throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kitsuomi Nanaka! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nanaka closes the distance and clinches up with Ikeda, looking for a takedown. Nanaka pushes Ikeda against the ropes but Ikeda circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ikeda lands a nice shot to the body.
Ikeda throws a series of punches but Nanaka moves out of range. Nanaka takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ikeda lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Nanaka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ikeda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ikeda pushes down on Nanaka's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ikeda works his way into side control. Nanaka tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ikeda wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

No, Ikeda has managed to free his arm - good work. Nanaka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ikeda sees it coming and defends easily. Ikeda has one foot on Nanaka's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Nanaka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ikeda explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Nanaka is breathing heavily.
