 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chastaine fails in his attempt to clinch. Taylor throws a series of punches but Chastaine moves out of range.
Chastaine moves into range and clinches up with Taylor. Taylor is trying to break the clinch but Chastaine has him pressed against the cage.
Chastaine breaks from the clinch.
Chastaine tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Taylor swivels and escapes. Taylor is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Taylor misses with a few strikes there.

Trouble for Chastaine! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taylor lands a nice shot to the head. Taylor has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chastaine's face.
Chastaine wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Taylor controlling the position well here. Chastaine rolled but Taylor kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Chastaine trying to get back to his feet but Taylor is in full control for now. The referee is taking a good look at Chastaine as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Taylor!
Chastaine trying to control the hands but Taylor breaks the grip. Taylor is looking to control Chastaine but Chastaine is wriggling around and keeping busy. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Taylor lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chastaine is trying to break free.
Taylor lands punches and elbows. Chastaine is covering up but some of the strikes from Taylor are getting through and doing damage.
Taylor controlling the position well here. Chastaine rolled but Taylor kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Taylor has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Taylor is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Chastaine knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Chastaine for a finish. Taylor lands a shot to the body. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Stacey Taylor dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Taylor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Taylor swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Taylor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Taylor wants to pass the guard but Chastaine is keeping the position.
Taylor gets to his feet - Chastaine follows without any prompting. Chastaine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Taylor but Taylor pushes him off and we're back to square one. Chastaine takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Taylor is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Chastaine will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Stacey Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Chastaine is trying to reverse the position but instead Taylor has taken his back - oops! The referee is taking a good look at Chastaine as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Taylor!

Chastaine feints and then cracks Taylor's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Taylor down. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chastaine doesn't manage to clinch there - Taylor circles away.

Taylor misses with a body kick. Chastaine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Chastaine tries to clinch up

Taylor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chastaine looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Chastaine tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Taylor goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Chastaine is on top in guard.
Chastaine trying to control the position from guard on top but Taylor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Taylor looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Taylor is trying to keep Chastaine in close.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chastaine is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Taylor wants to sweep here but Chastaine controlling him for the moment.
Chastaine stands and steps away. Taylor gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Chastaine throws a combination that misses and Taylor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Taylor scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Taylor lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Chastaine decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Taylor's guard. Taylor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dwayne Chastaine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chastaine thows a big elbow that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stacey Taylor. Well Taylor has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Vanderbilt keeping moving, preventing Garcia from controlling successfully. Garcia stops Vanderbilt from standing up. Vanderbilt being controlled here, momentarily. Garcia wants to control from the top but Vanderbilt keeps moving. Vanderbilt is trying to control the position but Garcia postures up.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Friedmon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut. Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
Johnson is looking to slow Friedmon down with leg kicks. Johnson tests Friedmon's chin there with a solid looking shot. Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A right-left combo lands from Johnson.
 Friedmon is rocked! Johnson lands with a right and another and another! Friedmon is in big trouble! Johnson lands again and this time it's lights out for Friedmon! A quality knockout there for Johnson.

StPierre knows he should have avoided that one. StPierre shoots for a takedown but Wiggs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wiggs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

 StPierre is rocked! StPierre shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wiggs lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh StPierre is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wiggs throws a nice looking combination but StPierre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wiggs.

Wiggs manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. StPierre is breathing heavily. StPierre has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wiggs is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. StPierre stalling in the clinch but Wiggs improves position.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kingston shoots in for a takedown but Fields shows good takedown defense. Kingston misses with a takedown attempt - Fields sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lind tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fardy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fardy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lind counters with a good low kick that Fardy was not able to check. Lind doesn't manage to clinch there - Fardy circles away.

Fardy pulls guard. Lind won't allow Fardy to sweep him here. Lind advances to half guard. Lind has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Lind trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Lind working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Fardy turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Lind off and cradles Fardy's limp body as Lind celebrates with his corner.

King fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Jonsie to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Jonsie looks to clinch but King throws him off and pummels him into the canvas!
