The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

One dives in and scores a takedown into McWrestler's guard.
One wants to control from the top but McWrestler keeps moving.
McWrestler seems keen to control One's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McWrestler's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
One looking to sit in guard and control but McWrestler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McWrestler is stalling in the full guard.

One has an active guard here but McWrestler has managed to pass into half guard.
One is trying to get back to full guard.
McWrestler not doing much here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
One wants to control the action here but instead McWrestler manages to pass to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McWrestler avoids the attempt from One to control.
McWrestler sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
It looks like McWrestler might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
One is looking to improve his position but McWrestler isn't that keen on the idea.

Six throws a right hand that Eight ducks under and follows up with a left that Eight also avoids with ease.
Eight thumps Six with a low kick.
Six misses with a double jab.
Eight was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Good standup being displayed there by Six as he connects with a hook.
Six lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Six throws a right hand that misses
and Six takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Six swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Eight counters with a left and a right that stings Six.
Sloppy strikes from Eight. Those never looked like landing.
Six scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Six scores with a sloppy right hand. Eight should have avoided that one.

Six slips under a jab.
Eight misses the body punch
and Six counters with a three punch combo that has Eight backing up. Eight nods at Six to acknowledge the strikes.
Six sizes up Eight with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nice uppercut lands for Six. That snapped Eight's head back.
Six fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Eight on the side of the head.
Six is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Six misses with a few strikes there.
Eight lands with a straight right. Six didn't see that one coming.
Six will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Eight throws a big counter combination but Six scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Eight fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Six has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Eight misses with a straight left.
Six swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A punch combination from Eight misses.
Six tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Eight with a nice cross.
Six lands a nice hook to Eight's body. Eight takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Six throws a hook but Eight avoids it easily.
Six lands a jab to the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
