8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Shibaev! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baloni lands with a hook. Shibaev tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Nice uppercut lands for Shibaev. That snapped Baloni's head back.
Shibaev takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Anton Shibaev has been cut. Baloni throws a lazy right hand but Shibaev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Baloni throws a body punch but Shibaev moves out of range. Shibaev throws a shot from downtown. Baloni moves away and avoids it. A jab from Baloni misses. Baloni clinches up with Shibaev and pushes him back against the cage. Shibaev doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Baloni digs a right hand into Shibaev's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Shibaev's gas tank. Baloni lands a shoulder strike. Shibaev changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Baloni fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Baloni throws a one two combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baloni has Shibaev up against the cage in a clinch.
Baloni is pressed up against the cage. Shibaev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Baloni down to the mat. Baloni avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Baloni throws a body punch but Shibaev moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shibaev misses with a looping right. As Shibaev tries to get set, Baloni tries to push him back and clinch up but Shibaev manages to avoid the attempt. Baloni misses with a looping left. Baloni fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Baloni misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shibaev.
Shibaev jabbing away but nothing is landing. Baloni cracks Shibaev with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Shibaev shoots for a double leg takedown but Baloni sprawls well. He's pushed Shibaev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Phil Baloni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anton Shibaev. Baloni instigates a clinch. Baloni throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Baloni has clasped his hands together around Shibaev's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Baloni cracks Shibaev with an elbow. That is naaassty. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baloni scoring with punches from side control. Shibaev can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shibaev tries to buck Baloni off but Baloni is having none of it. Baloni controlling from side mount. Shibaev wants to control but Baloni postures up. Baloni working the ground and pound but Shibaev is defending the strikes. Shibaev struggling a bit here. Baloni creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Shibaev manages to work his way to half guard, despite Baloni's best efforts. Baloni takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shibaev gets full guard. Baloni has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Shibaev looking for a triangle here. Baloni is fighting it but it looks tight! Shibaev pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Baloni is tapping out - this one is all over!

Magnum creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Schultz's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Schultz drops to his knees and Magnum pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

A very excited looking Justin Magnum made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. It looked like Benedetti wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Moore misses with a left hand and Benedetti counters with a flying knee that drops Moore! Benedetti dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Claudio Benedetti! Claudio Benedetti made sure to mention his sponsor, Ma Balls Is Hot Clothing in his post fight interview. Carl Moore spoke after the fight, saying 'No one likes seeing their opponent's hand raised, but that just means that they were the better man today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conan lands with an overhand left. Aurelius blocks a jab. Conan throws an overhand right that lands on Aurelius's shoulder, as Aurelius tries to avoid the shot. Conan scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Conan throws out a loose jab but Aurelius uses good head movement to avoid it. Aurelius gets the takedown into side control. Conan manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Aurelius missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Aurelius is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Conan defends it well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Conan regains full guard. Nicely done. Aurelius postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Conan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Aurelius, into his guard. Conan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aurelius swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aurelius is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Conan won't allow Aurelius to get back to his feet. Aurelius trying to control the position here. Conan throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Conan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Conan trying to control but Aurelius is working from the bottom. Conan distracts Aurelius with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Aurelius looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Conan looking to sit in guard and control but Aurelius gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Aurelius wanted to stand there but Conan had control of the position. Aurelius trying to control but Conan is working from the bottom. Conan is trying to keep Aurelius in close.

Conan is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Conan throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Conan dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Conan cracks Aurelius with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Aurelius shoots for a double leg takedown but Conan sprawls well. Conan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Aurelius shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conan as he avoids it easily. Conan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aurelius can do to turn this around? Conan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Conan fails to land with a series of punches.
Conan cracks Aurelius with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Conan scores with a jab. Aurelius acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Conan looks to score with a jab to the body but Aurelius is just out of range. Conan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Conan gets caught napping as Aurelius dives in and scores a takedown. Conan manages to retain guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aurelius is pushing down on Conan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Conan is fighting to maintain full guard but Aurelius has managed to sneak the leg through. Aurelius working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Conan's thigh. Conan counters though and makes it back to full guard. Conan is trying to control the position but Aurelius postures up. Conan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aurelius doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aurelius manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aurelius tries to stand but Conan is controlling from the bottom. Aurelius wants to control from the top but Conan keeps moving. Aurelius trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Conan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Conan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Aurelius. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aurelius trying to stand up but can't free himself from Conan's guard. Conan trying to keep a closed guard but Aurelius is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Aurelius fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Conan avoids it really well and circles away. Conan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Aurelius closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Aurelius is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Aurelius is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Conan is just riding it out for now. Aurelius eventually gives up the hold. Conan is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Aurelius throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Aurelius prevents Conan from improving his position. Conan is defending against the submission attempts here by Aurelius.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Aurelius is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Conan to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Aurelius working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Edward Conan will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
A cross from Conan lands. Conan misses the shot to the body. Nice sprawl there from Conan as Aurelius shoots in. Conan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A decent looking cross lands there for Conan. Aurelius throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Conan to counter with a crisp jab. Edward Conan is winning the standup battle so far. Conan cracks Aurelius with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Conan getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Conan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Aurelius is rocked! Conan steps in with a hook that catches Aurelius right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Conan follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Aurelius looks absolutely devastated.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turturro is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Takenao is looking to control Turturro's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Takenao avoid being mounted? Turturro is working for a kimura but Takenao is defending it quite comfortably.
