The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore gets caught napping as Fresh dives in and scores a takedown. Moore manages to retain guard.
Moore pulls Fresh in to control the position.
Fresh throws a big right hand that misses.
Fresh throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fresh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fresh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Moore throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Fresh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fresh goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Moore rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Fresh's guard! Nice work there by Moore!

White Jr wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Pen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
White Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pen was well out of range. Poor timing from White Jr.

Pen is trying to break the clinch but White Jr is controlling him.
White Jr throws a punch but it's blocked by Pen.
A nice right hand lands inside from White Jr.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Pen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
White Jr digs a right hand into Pen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pen's gas tank.
