Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Chester Bowen (ranked 6016 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mbownka Eckson (ranked 4261 p4p, 455 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bowen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Eckson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Eckson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! That's one minute gone in the round. Eckson tries to advance position but instead Bowen slips a leg back in to half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Eckson in particular looking to stall. Bowen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Eckson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Eckson's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eckson looking for submissions off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Eckson is trying to maintain the position but Bowen is very close to passing his half guard. Bowen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Eckson keeps working. Eckson trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bowen is looking for a kimura but Eckson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bowen to get the leverage. Eckson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bowen pulls his head out easily. Eckson trying to control here.

Eckson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bowen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bowen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Eckson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Eckson shrugs it off. Bowen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Eckson is surviving well by controlling Bowen's body position as best he can.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Bowen is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Eckson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Eckson tries to hold on but Bowen pushes him away. Bowen manages to capitalize on a mistake by Eckson to take his back! Score +3 for taking back: Bowen (12) vs (4) Eckson Eckson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Bowen is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Eckson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Eckson tries to escape but Bowen has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Eckson is still trying to improve position. Bowen has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Eckson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Bowen is persistently looking for the submission but Eckson is defending it well.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Tyler Hines! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Kertezs tries to clinch up. Kertezs gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hines gets control of Kertezs's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hines will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Hines working a defensive guard here.
Kertezs wants to control from the top but Hines keeps moving. Hines working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kertezs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hines is tightening it up a little... Kertezs has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kertezs reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kertezs taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hines!
