The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slevin with a nice calf kick. Barbosa throws a leg kick and Slevin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A nice leg kick from Slevin, right into the meat of the thigh.
Barbosa clinches with his opponent.
Barbosa prevents Slevin from breaking the clinch. I was talking to Barbosa's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A left hand lands to the body for Barbosa.
Slevin is trying to break the clinch but Barbosa has him pressed against the cage. Barbosa taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Slevin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Barbosa lands a leg kick that knocks Slevin off balance momentarily. Barbosa throws a shot from downtown. Slevin moves away and avoids it. Barbosa takes a swing at Slevin's ribcage but misses. Slevin checks a leg kick. Slevin throws out a loose jab but Barbosa uses good head movement to avoid it. Slevin fails to land with a series of punches.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Slevin is trying to force a seperation but Barbosa has the dominant position.

Slevin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Barbosa has him pressed against the cage. Barbosa lands an uppercut. A quick uppercut on the inside from Barbosa. It looks like Lucky Slevin has been cut. A short right from Barbosa. Slevin is looking to break free of the clinch but Barbosa has double underhooks. Barbosa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Slevin lands with an uppercut that bounces Barbosa off the cage and back into range. Slevin throws a hook but Barbosa avoids it easily. Slevin ducks straight into an uppercut from Barbosa and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Slevin manages to regain guard straight away.
Slevin is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barbosa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Slevin is working an open guard so Barbosa takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Slevin is still in real trouble! Can Barbosa finish him? Barbosa postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Slevin covers up, he's hurt! Barbosa keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Barbosa and the ref steps in to end the fight! Barbosa can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Vears pushes down on Doyle's head and hops out. As Doyle backs off Vears throws a huge counter combo but Doyle manages to avoid it all. Vears throws a head kick that Doyle semi-blocks.
Vears bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. It looks like Stewart Doyle has been cut. Nice straight punches there by Vears. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Vears. Doyle is rocked! Vears fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Doyle out cold! Brutal finish!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mike loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mike cracks Stallone with a solid left hand. Stallone is trying to keep Mike in close.
Stallone has momentary wrist control but Mike slips an elbow through the middle. Stallone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mike sitting in guard here, content to control. Stallone wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mike cracks Stallone with a solid left hand. Stallone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mike sitting in guard here, content to control. Stallone looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Mike looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Mike has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mike pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stallone is keeping the position for now. Stallone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stallone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mike doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mike manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mike is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mike lands a couple of elbows. Stallone is fending him off so far but Mike persists. Nope, Stallone circles away and we're back to standing. Stallone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Mike decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mike is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Stallone is trying to stand.

It looks like Robin Banks has been cut. Chandrasekhar misses the shot to the body. Chandrasekhar on the wrong end of a nice jab. Chandrasekhar misses with a straight left. The fight stays on the outside here - Banks looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Chandrasekhar slips a straight right by Banks. Banks takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Banks has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Banks there as he acknowledges the shot. Chandrasekhar lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big left from Banks misses. Banks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chandrasekhar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chandrasekhar thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks takes a shot right to the bread basket. Chandrasekhar is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Banks looks winded! Chandrasekhar throws a looping overhand right but Banks ducks down to avoid it. Chandrasekhar lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Chandrasekhar drops Banks with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Banks looks back up at him and smiles so Chandrasekhar waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Banks is rocked! Chandrasekhar drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Banks right on the button. Banks goes down! Chandrasekhar follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Chandrasekhar gets the win via TKO!

Ahmed Zaitoun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zaitoun scores with a hook to the body. Lock takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lock shoots in but Zaitoun avoids the takedown attempt easily. Zaitoun connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lock. Lock circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Lock looking to score a takedown here. Zaitoun is defending well but Lock drives through and ends up in Zaitoun's guard. Zaitoun working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lock. Lock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lock pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zaitoun is keeping the position for now.
