The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Broadbent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mckean was well out of range. Poor timing from Broadbent. Mckean throws an overhand right that lands on Broadbent's shoulder, as Broadbent tries to avoid the shot. Broadbent lands a jab to Mckean's midsection. Mckean misses with a looping left. Broadbent moves away from the strike by Mckean. Broadbent throws a body punch but Mckean moves out of range. Mckean throws a jab when Broadbent was well out of range. Broadbent misses with an uppercut. Mckean saw that one coming. Broadbent ducks under a wild hook from Mckean. Broadbent avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Broadbent scores with a hook. Mckean moves out of range as Broadbent strikes. Broadbent drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Mckean looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Broadbent thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mckean has momentary wrist control but Broadbent slips an elbow through the middle. Broadbent trying to control but Mckean is working from the bottom. Mckean keeping full guard, as Broadbent tries to pass. Broadbent passes Mckean's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Broadbent wants to pass to mount but Mckean is defending the position. Broadbent not landing any meaningful shots this time. Broadbent is looking to take a break and control but Mckean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckean on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Broadbent has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Broadbent moves into full mount! Mckean won't be happy about that! Broadbent is working for a guillotine from mount but Mckean frees his head quite easily.
Mckean is squirming around, avoiding Broadbent's attempts to control the action. Broadbent is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Mckean is forced to tap! Great finish!

Cuba has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad The Island in the buildup to the fight. Cuba tries to clinch but Sparxx is having none of it. Sparxx throws out a counter right but Cuba avoids it with no problem. Decent striking displayed by Sparxx there. Cuba shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Cuba takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cuba's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sparxx can do anything to dispel that myth. Sparxx manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Cuba keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Sparxx wants to take the fight to the mat but Cuba manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Cuba is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Cuba throws an elbow that misses. Sparxx uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cuba's guard. Nice move by Sparxx!
Sparxx must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cuba tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cuba wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Sparxx loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cuba bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sparxx's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. More hug and hope from Cuba. Cuba has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cuba changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sparxx looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Sparxx's face as Cuba controls the position. Sparxx is not content to let Cuba control the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cuba is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sparxx will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cuba fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Cuba closes the distance but Sparxx moves to the side and Cuba takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cuba tries to clinch but Sparxx moves out of range. Cuba drives through with a takedown into Sparxx's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Cuba throws a big elbow that misses. Sparxx throws out a counter right but Cuba avoids it with no problem. Cuba closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sparxx to the mat! Sparxx manages to get full guard. Cuba sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cuba postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cuba slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Cuba throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sparxx works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Horace Cuba showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cuba, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Don fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Don has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Loud is landing a low percentage of strikes. Don ducks under a wild hook from Loud. Don tries to move into range but Loud moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Don is looking to score with low kicks. Loud was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Don misses with a looping left. A counter left hand to the body from Loud misses its target. Loud blocks a head kick by Don.

Don looks to throw a body kick and Loud cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Don moves away from the strike by Loud. Loud throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Don on the side of the head. Don misses with a wild body shot. Loud is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Don misses with a low kick. Don throws out a leg kick but Loud moves out of range and Don only half commits. A little feinted left hand from Loud on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Decent striking displayed by Loud there.

and Loud counters with a nice right hand that sends Don toppling to the canvas! Don scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Loud finish him?! Don is rocked! Loud fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Don to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Don looks to clinch but Loud throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Don taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
